This simple tool is great and no need to calibrate. Although i cannot independently confirm its accuracy, i can confirm that it is accurate at least on a relativel level. Rainwater measured 2 ppm on this device and NYC tap water measured 44 ppm on this device. I would recommend this product.

Warning! I did a complete test on our tap and drinking water. The lead test showed a high (50 mg/L) per the color chart. I retested it 5 times with same results. We spent several hundreds of dollars with our water company checking our water system and having an outside firm testing the water for lead. The results came back showing a very low lead level (.001 mg/L) in our tap and drinking water. The test strips are inaccurate and a waste of money!

Not accurate enough to be any use!mg/Liter is not enough resolution to be useful for aquarium or drinking water.Tested really dirty water and only PH and Hardness change color, none of other test register anything! Save your money.
