These gloves are awesome, they work especially well for handling glass. Wet, oily, greasy, HOT glass is no problem with these! Hands are protected from heat and chemicals and still have use of fingers. Excellent product.

This would be a 3.5, if that was an option.The gloves are helpful in the kitchen, without a doubt.But at temperatures much lower than the 446F they're supposed to be safe up to, too much heat gets through to my hands.A great idea, indeed, but I'd love to see them handle my typical dinner heat range better (350-425 degrees).

They've got decent grip and they're pretty easy to clean, but they're really only heat resistant on the bumps on the surface (which are double thick). Grab the handle of a cast iron pan with them on, and the fleshy part between your thumb and index finger is still going to burn in seconds. The thinner material is also prone to tearing because it's not thick enough. They're ok for the price, but ideally, I want a pair that makes it so my hands don't burn at all, not a pair that just buys me a couple extra seconds before my hands burn.

Did other reviewers get different gloves than I did? The gloves themselves may survive high heat but they certainly do not insulate my hands from heat. Cannot grab a cookie sheet out of the oven and hubby said he couldn't pick up shish-ka-bobs off of the grill. Also, they are too big for either of our hands. A great concept but these gloves do not deliver.

I could see where these are great for flipping large pieces of meat that need to be man handled on the grill quickly. thinking that these were heat resistant I bought them as oven mitts. Let me tell you these are not the best oven mitts. They hold up and wont't melt but the heat does make it through pretty quickly thereby burning your digits.

I love these gloves. I needed some that would allow me to hold my hands under very hot water to clean some medical equipment on a weekly basis and these are perfect. They work very well in the kitchen for normal chores requiring hand protection but the fact that they are waterproof was my reason for choosing them.

These gloves are great. Would love for them to be lined for easier on and off. But, I love the fact that there are fingers rather than a mitt. Easier to pick up hot items. Also, if you have a large hand you may find these to be too small, that is why I am giving these 4 stars.

I don't know if it's supposed to do that or if it's not meant for that purpose but if you carry something hot out of the oven, the heat eventually transfers to the gloves and can get pretty hot if not remove immediately.
