Door Bell Cover, White

This is perfect for keeping from ringing my doorbell. I work from home and also go to school from home. It's crucial that nobody rings my Bell or knocks on the door because I have three dogs that will erupt when someone is near. I had placed signs on my doors with detailed notes NOT to disturb me. I even put up no soliciting signs and I kid you not, people still came and rang my bell anyway. I put this on there a few months ago and LOVE that nobody has been able to disturb my dogs and I since. I also like the stickers that come with the cover. I chose the no soliciting sticker to out on mine. I have a small doorbell so this fit perfectly.

Life saver! The UPS guys' and mine! When you start to have homicidal thoughts, it's probably time to do something. I kept trying to get UPS to stop ringing the doorbell by telling them to stop and talking to customer service, but it never worked. I work odd hours, and they just loved to ring the doorbell when I was *finally* getting some sleep. Then, a randomly desperate search—one of many—uncovered this delightful gadget! Homicidal thoughts no more!It fits flawlessly over our standard-sized doorbell. It definitely wouldn't fit an oversized doorbell, so keep that in mind, as other reviewers have noted. The stickers are great, too. Durable and highly varied. Many are for parents, but there are plenty for those of us who just want to make the package people stop driving us insane (I think there were four options I thought might work; I picked the most polite and directly package-related of the four).So, two things: (1) if you have an oversized doorbell, you may want to invest in a normal-sized doorbell for this device to fit over. They're inexpensive and replacing your doorbell is just as easy as cutting the wires—a common solution advocated on forums about this problem. Plus, you'll have a functioning doorbell you can reveal if you ever need it. (2) Get it. The solution to your doorbell-ringing nightmare is finally here!It is hard to believe they don't offer two sizes in order to handle oversized doorbells, and it is a huge faux-paux to say it'll fit any doorbell, but it's such a miracle-worker and such a single, inexpensive device that I can't take away a star from 5 for it. Really, I give this 10 stars, -1 for the incorrect description, which still comes out to 5 since I can only input 5! :)

PROS:OMG, this is BRILLIANT!!!1. EASY TO INSTALL IF YOU HAVE A NARROW, VERY STANDARD DOORBELL (if you're wondering, contact the company, I understand they have other options).I was worried because I have wooden shingles and the way the doorbell is situated by one, wondered if I could slip it on, and also because the bell is SO CLOSE to the door frame. WENT ON WITHOUT A HITCH IN SECONDS!2. WONKY DOORBELL FIX - I have a broken doorbell, it isn't very loud, but once pushed (OR sometimes it just goes off in the middle of the night if the wind is blowing hard enough), it literally takes pounding with a HAMMER several times to turn it off. My dog is barking because he thinks someone is at the door. A MAJOR NUISANCE. And I didn't WANT people ringing my bell anyway. THIS SOLVES THAT!3. LOTS of great stickers to chose from and fyi, there are some that are different from ones shown. Really something for everyone. Don't want anyone to knock or ring the bell? No problem. There is a DO NOT DISTURB.Just don't want solicitors? NO PROB. That's covered too. Want someone to knock SOFTLY? THAT'S THERE AS WELL.I actually put a PLEASE KNOCK SOFTLY decal on bell cover and NEXT to it, a decal that PLAINLY AND LARGELY SAYS, NO SOLICITING.4. PRICE - TEN BUCKS FOR PEACE OF MIND.....PRICELESS!CONS: Well this isn't a CON, just a tip. TAKE a moment to look at the installation video re the adhesive strips that come with it. NOT that it's difficult, just shows you WHERE exactly to place them (and if you make a mistake, there is another set).THE ONLY CON is I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER! AWWWWWWW, SILENCE!!!!

I'm not a fan of messing with electricity so I installed my Video Doorbell on the brick next to the door. The existing doorbell location would be too tight anyhow for it as you can tell from the pictures. People either used only the existing doorbell or would push both doorbell buttons. Not wanting to mess with electricity I searched for something that would cover the existing doorbell button. So after combing through amazon I ran across Knock Nanny. As you can see from the pictures I didn't utilize any of the stickers that came with the Knock Nanny. Knock Nanny was a breeze to install for me. All I had to do was slip it over the existing doorbell button. I didn't even have to utilize the adhesive strips. It works great and now people only utilize the Video Doorbell. It is a bit bulky but it serves the function I need it to serve very well.

This doesn't fit my doorbell, which I should have checked before ordering. Duh. Because my doorbell is flat (why didn't I know that?), I could still use the various stickers to cover it. I've had one of the "do not disturb" stickers up for a month now and it does its job. Giving 5 stars because the product itself is great, even though it doesn't fit. Kept for the stickers.
