Excellent Blast From The Past
Remember these back when I was a mod and and although I purchased Maybe Tomorrow on 7 inch single I never really paid a lot of attention to this band due to following The Jam at the time. Bought this compilation and was quite surprised how good they were with lots of interesting re-takes on some of their hits. Live recordings sound good better than some I have previously heard of other bands of that period. Overall glad I purchased this and for any previous fan well worth buying for the unreleased recordings.

Great memories
Never thought I'd ever see anything like this. The soundtrack of my teens. Saw them live over 30 times. I can't recommend this enough. Go Buddy Go! Bring on the book.

What do you do with a CD
It is a CD, take a wild guess what I used it for.

Just buy it & stop fannying about reading reviews
I loved the Chords. If the Jam hadn’t existed maybe they would have achieved mass recognition?Still sound crisp & interesting reworks to old favourites.Like meeting an old friend that was a major influence previously

AWESOME 5 CD BOX SET BY ONE OF THE BEST MOD REVIVAL OUTFITS THE UK EVER SAW
this is a really nice clam shell 5 cd box set that probably covers most of what the chords recorded way back in the day, the chords where one of the great 1979 mod revival bands in the uk and the title says it all right on the front of the box recordings 1978 to 1981, all 5 discs are fantastically remastered for the best sound, all 5 discs come in mini lp style jackets, the last song on disc two ANOTHER THING COMING is from 2010 when the chords put out a reunion single, EVERYTHING else across these 5 discs is from there hey day, im one of the few yanks that really liked a lot of the mod revival bands 40 years ago that THE JAM helped spearhead a couple years earlier in 1977, it would be nice to see more clam shell box releases by other great outfits from this scene like THE JOLT, MERTON PARKAS, THE LAMBRETTAS, THE HEADBOYS, SEMA 4 & so many others that lasted those few years, as for the VAPORS & THE JAM we got plenty of deluxed reissues over the years. also this comes with a great booklet....

Great collection
Came across this thanks to Pandora playlist. Hadn't heard of them before (don't live in England), took a chance and it paid off. Great music, only wish they made more!
