Better than the more expensive Misty Mate
I had a Misty Mate unit for years and this year the hose randomly started to burst every time I would use it. I knew I would have to replace it and began checking Amazon for pricing. I decided to not get another one of the more expensive Misty Mates with the not very durable hosing and ran into this little Windchiller fan.I decided to go with the Windchiller fan and I am very pleased with it. Unlike the little cheap mister fans from Walmart, this one pumps up and will keep spraying mist as long as you hold down the mist button. I quickly realized the importance of the fan as well. Compared to the fan-less Misty Mate units, this one is much much cooler. One worry I had with this was the "child proof fan". Normally you will find fans labeled "child proof" do not blow very well but this unit did great! Instead of the traditional foam blades, this unit uses a thin bendable plastic that has good velocity and is also child friendly.I will also throw in this unit has a lifetime nozzle replacement policy up to 1 unit per year and the quality is great so I feel good about this one.I recommend this to anyone braving the heat (exercising, theme-parks, day at the beach, etc.)!

Great personal fan and mister
We are season ticket holders to the College World Series which takes place in the middle of June in Nebraska when temperatures are sure to be 90 degrees or higher. This fan and personal mister is a must to survive the heat and humidity. The mister is a soft, gentle spray of water that is refreshing and cooling when followed by the rotating fan. Highly recommend!

Updated: Workhorse solution
Updated:I’ve added a star to my previous review. The no battery design for the mister ensures availability of must no matter how much you use it. The mist is fine enough that a bottle lasted our kid a full afternoon in 99 degree weather and still didn’t run out. The fan helps make the most of the water dispersion. It still has design/quality concerns. After a day of getting bumped around, rolled on ground, etc it has held up with the diy fix. The biggest thing is just secure the fan tip with glue or loctite so you don’t lose it.Original:I didn’t feel this warranted the strong positive reviews. It’s a mid level product with some poor design and functional issues.1) You will need to use superglue or Loctite on the fan head to keep it. I unpackaged this and it was exceptionally loose from the start. Any slight bump or movement sent the fan blade/nose cone piece falling off. It’s attached to the bottle and motor with a smooth rod. No way for it to lock in. Just slides on and off. After gluing it is ok. But should have a better design.2) I thought this could stand up like a water bottle. But the base is what you use to pump/pressurize the mister. And it is rounded in such a way that it’s not very stable even when sitting on a flat surface. It will stand, but it’s easy to tip over.3) the fan does not have much oomph to it. Very minimal airflow. Just one speed. Similar to those $5 little plug in fans for your phone. It’s not very quiet either. On the upside, you can put ice in it for even cooler mist and the misting function works very well. Even if the battery is dead.A wine cooler/beer can koozie fits... a bit tight but doable if it doesn’t have a skinny neck design or you trim it. That helps insulate the water even more and prevents condensation on outside of bottle. The mist is super fine, won’t mess up your makeup

DESIGN FLAWS - Not worth $24 - Literally threw it in trash end of day 1 use
Purchased 2 ($50 total) for my 7yr old & 11yr old. First and last day using was 7hrs in 100 degrees at a race track event. (Product not used entire 7 hours.) Threw in trash at race track. Hindsight, I should have returned for the $50 and not just thrown in trash out of frustration for poor product design. This products true value is around $10. Had I only paid $10 I would have chalked it up to "you get what you pay for". You do not get what you pay for with this $24 product. Next time I will get an O2COOL product.PRO's:-Did it mist water? Yes.-Did the fan work? Yes.CON's:-Bottom is not flat, product falls over.-Skinny design, and product has a fair weight to it, both adding to it falling over when you finally can get it to stay standing up-Battery compartment barely stays closed - let alone when the product falls and compartment pops off, and batteries go flying-You need to pump the bottom for mist pressure, this causes leaking all out the bottom when you pump-Not worth $24

Very happy
Heat flashes. Menopause is the culprit. All year round, I carry a handheld fan. I used to buy the ten dollar fan with mister from Walgreens or Walmart. You've seen them. Pretty color. Nice water holder. And within two months, the plastic blades would come off, and even though I could get the fan blades attached again, they wouldn't spin as fast, and wouldn't fan air out properly. So I did some research here on Amazon, and found this here fan. It was best rated but twice the cost of those cheap fans. Twenty bucks. I I waited a few months to leave a review, and I can honestly say that this is the best fan mister I've ever owned. It's very well made, the fan works great, and the fine spray mister is my favorite part. Definitely worth the investment.

Exceeded my expectations!
This is the one of the best purchases I have ever made. My husband and I greatly enjoy music festivals that last multiple days. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant during our first 2 day festival and the temps are in the mid to low 90's. I specifically purchased the windchiller hoping it would help me beat the heat and I am SO glad i did! I never would have made it though 80/35 without this incredible thing. I plan to use this again next month when we go to Hinterland (a three day CAMPING festival!)
