It is simple and effective. It uses a spring mechanism to hold your phone in and is compatible with just about every phone, not just an iPhone. The spring is strong and it is wide enough to hold wide phones like the iPhone 6s Plus with case. The mounting screw hole is metal which is what I was looking for. Plastic ones tend to strip and loosen after a while and those are a no sale. They should be recycled into something better.The base where the phone sits has foam. The top part is metal, it should be foam too. The metal is smooth and polished but because it has a tight grip, it may damage the finish after a while. I always put my phone in a case so this is a non-issue for me.It is effective and inexpensive.

First off, please be aware that this is NOT a tripod nor does it come with one. However, this adaptor will screw into your tripod where you would normally mount your camera. It has springs inside to let you secure your phone into it. I have the iPhone 6, but it will also fit my husband's 6 plus, so I tak it would probably fit other styles of phone other than iPhones. I have used this mount multiple times since getting it. It helps me take my review videos when I need both hands free to demonstrate my products. I am so happy I decided to buy this adapter. It has made my life a lot easier.

Holds the camera nicely. Loved it. I have used it several times and it still has a nice grip on the phone. I also held the phone at several different angles and it never budged. I use an iPhone 5s with an otter box case. It fits perfectly!Was this helpful? Let me know!

Price wise, exactly what I ordered. It does the job but I'm concerned it will damage the camera case as metal is in contact with some parts. I fixed mine with electric tape to avoid the damage to the case.

Gets the job done mounting a phone onto a tripod. Only thing I would say is it does feel a little flimsy. The material it is made with feels a little cheap to me. Overall I guess it gets the job done. Fits an iPhone 6s Plus.

Perfect for creating steady self video. I mounted it on my tripod and it works well with my iPhone 6s. The spring action arm holds the phone sevirely while the rubber protects it from scratching.

It's a bit thin, so I worry about durability. Also, I wish more of these companies would include Windows devices in their description. If you are wondering, YES, it does fit my Lumia.
