Wonderful, well written, thoughtful summation of marriage to an artist and life afterwards
Wonderfully told and well written story of a long marriage to a prominent artist.Thought provoking and inspiring as a widow overcomes grief, curates and continues, and in each step builds a life on her own.In the book, Ms. Gibran manages to weave together the triumphs and challenges of being the wife of an artist (with a prominent uncle) living in Boston in the 20th century. Subtly, and often with humor, she confronts ethnic stereotyping, the gentrification of the South End, self promotion in the art world, and Boston museums' lack of interest in Boston artists.A wonderful gift for anyone interested in an artist's life, the challenges and comforts of a long marriage, or the Boston art world.

Loved the Book
Beautiful story documenting the life of Kahlil Gibran, an incredibly talented Boston artist, as told in a brutally honest way by his wife of 50 years. The vulnerabilities and the joy in their lives are not glossed over - they are fully acknowledged and shared in a no nonsense way - it will make you want to do the same with yours.
