Do not buy!!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. After only two uses it exploded in my microwave. The reviews on these things say the same, they explode and you shouldn’t Buy the gel, buy the flaxseed: I got the flaxseed and what happen to them happen to me. The proof is in the picture and video. And FYI thE burnt smell will linger for a couple weeks.

Doesn’t stay hot long enough.
[This review is honest and accurate. It was flagged and hidden and listed as sensitive so I am resubmitting again. Amazon MUST stop allowing this. If the review isn't satisfactory, work on the product, not the reviewers. Original review follows.]Complete waste of money for me. It doesn’t stay hot long enough to do anything.

very comfortable to wear
After researching these type of caps so I could deep condition my long hair, i decided on this brand. Their price was very competitive, as others I have seen were very high priced. Came with extra basic shower caps, along with an internal shower cap, so the bonnet stays clean. Stays warm for a full 30 minutes. And its cute too! I could not be happier.

TRASH
I had to throw the cap in the trash after the first use. After reading the instructions and placing the cap into the microwave for about 2-3 minutes, I placed the cap on my head, and the heat only lasted about 10 minutes before it got cold. I then attempted to try to rewarm the cap quickly for about a minute, and had to immediately remove because the beads caught on fire inside and burn a whole through the cap lining. I had seeds EVERYWHERE. This cap was a TOTAL waste of money. I wish I could have gotten my money back.

Uneven heating due to construction
Very soft on both sides of the cap. It does come with a thinner shower cap to wear under so you're not directly putting wet hair on the hot Cap. It is weighted by all the seeds. It fit snug so I do not recommend it for those with medium are largerheads. It seems like a good idea, however, the flaxseeds are not distributed equally in the cap. Therefore, you get really uneven heating where most of it is around the edges and barely any on the top crown area, which is where most people want heat placed. I don't know why they choose to use most of the flaxseed filling on the perimeter instead of evenly throughout the whole cap. This was highly disappointing. I followed the directions and heated the cap for 2 minutes in the microwave. Apparently, that was too long because I could barely touch it afterward and had to wait for it to cool a little before applying. The heat lasted about 15 to 20 minutes, so to get a thorough conditioning, you would have to heat it twice which kind of waste time and interrupts the process. I think the cap is a great idea, but in this case, it was executed poorly.Oh yeah, forgot to mention that words on the box are mostly written in Chinese and what is written on the box is different than what is on the description page.

I love this thing!!
I love this Heated Conditioning Cap!!! I am free to go about my other tasks or pampering myself! My current Microwave is as they suggest in the Specs a 700 Watt Microwave... I microwaved it in increments of 1-2 minutes, testing how quickly it heats up. I also turned it inside out each time and shook the kernels around in between. This seemed to give very even heat disbursement.I've tested it twice now. Once on Dry hair just to see how long it would stay hot (AStill warm around the 20 min mark) and today to actually condition my hair. With Conditioner in my hair, my hair stayed noticeably hotter to the touch even after the cap had cooled down externally, it was actually STILL holding in more heat inside the cap.I love it! I'll update in time if something changes.

Very Covenient
Due to a hair problem, I have to give myself hot oil treatment at least 2 to 3 times a week for 30 minutes. This cap is so convenient because you heat it in the microwave oven and you are still able to do your work or just sit and relax. I would recommend taking your time when heating it up. I started out doing 30 seconds at a time. 1 minute is perfect for me. If your hair is thin, you don't want it too hot. Plus if you should fall asleep when you have it on, like I did, you don't have to worry about burning your scalp.

Holds heat 20 minutes
Third use and if burned holes inside the cap.Up until then I loved the cap. The smell people are talking about is probably the flaxseed inside the cap but it’s not bad. Smells like popcorn to me. LOL. The head lasts about 20 minutes which I think is fine considering it’s not an electric cap. Heating pads only last that long or less so I wouldn’t expect a cap to last longer.Includes a handy dandy shower cap to use to keep the heating cap clean. But the shower cap was too thick. I used a thin plastic cap instead (like a jherri curl cap). I could feel the heat better with the thinner plastic cap.I’m gonna try this cap again but heat it less. If it burns again I’ll give up on it.
