Underworld/Underworld: Evolution

Plotting is slowly developed in and around the various action sequences; battles between vampires and lycans. As the story emerges, we learn that the story dates back 600 years to when the lycans guarded the vampires by day, until a betrayal gave the lycans the overall edge and started an era of distrust.Now, the life-eternal is a continual power struggle between the two groups, also within each group and occurring in an Underworld void of human beings. So, the plot is removed from the usual struggles for humans to end the threat. There are no humans, only hybrids; a perfect mating between vampire and werewolf. Scott Speedman plays such a hybrid.Kate Beckinsale plays a powerful vampire, almost queen-like. The mystery of her heritage is unlocked in Underworld Evolution, as she and Speedman team to end the treachery.The two discs represent good entertainment. Costumes and action sequences are very life-like.

I am really not into creepy sci fi movies. But this was a double feature and my husband wanted to see them. I got a great deal, they were like new. I am so pleased to have found the world of amazon used movies. To be honest I havent watched it yet, my husband said it was great. I noticed when my daughter dropped by and spent the night, it was the first one she picked out of my library. She had seen it before, but was ready to watch it again. So they are goood movies.

I love this series. It's on TV several times a year (I think the Syfy channel), but it's really worth owning it to see it uncut all the way through. If you buy all three titles in the series, be sure to watch "Rise of the Lycans" first. Even though it was produced third, it's actually a prequel to the first two movies. Can't wait 'til the fourth one becomes available for purchase...didn't get to see it at the theater.

I am a fan of the whole Underworld series. This one had tow movies in it and I really wanted the "Evolution" movie but if you can get this deal, why not. Both movies are as they were in the theater and if you like these movies than this is one to have. And of course you can't go wrong with having Kate Beckinsale in them. Very good movies but not for the young ones.

The events of these two films take place after Rise of the Lycans in case you like chronology in your film viewing. Romeo & Juliet meets Satan's army is how to describe this series of movies. Centuries have passed since the Rise of the Lycans and now the war is nearly over with both sides wondering who will win. In the first movie, Selene, the gorgeous female vampiress assasin, fights werewolves to the death but also finds out that some of her vampire brothers are not all on her side. Then she finds out that her family has a secret about her that they never told her which changes the vampire monarchy forever! Now going into Evolution, a newer, stronger breed of vampire now threatens to unite with his werewolf brother to take down the vampire regime. Selene has a new friend named Michael who is a new breed himself; a vampire werewolf hybrid. A massive battle takes place where main characters die and the future is left wide open for a sequel named Underworld Awakening. Action, horror, suspense, and premium violence with outstanding speciall effects!

Good Movies

I love the Underworld movies. Kate Beckinsale is a badass and I'm so stoked that there's a thread of romance in all of the movies. Werewolves versus vampires - never gets old.

I bought this combo but I was just short the Evolution movie to complete the series thus far. It was equal to the others. If you are a fan you will like it.
