Bought these for my granddaughters. We pulled the strap on a couple, and they worked fine. A good idea for them to have just in case. However, you don't know how long the battery works, and that is a problem. Once they tried it to see if it works (some reviews said not all worked when they got them), you really don't know if it will still work if you need it. Hopefully they won't need it!!

Bought these for me and my sister's we live in scary times. I now carry a knife mace and now this. The pin stays in olace until you pull it and wow it is load. Light works well too. Good buy

I was very pleased when I received this product. I purchased it for me and my children and it is awesome. The release cord is secure and when released it is EXTREMELY loud, any unwanted person in your space will surely run/leave. I recommend this product if you question you and/or your children traveling alone.

Great item. The only issue I have is how to find where the battery compartment is & how to change it. It was not on the instructions.

Gave one to my college age daughter, my 16 year old son, my sister.. Bought a second set to hand out to the women I work with that are victims of domestic violence. Loud. Pin takes a nice tug to be set off.

Definitely worth the buy, especially for the price! But WARNING: it is deafingly loud, which is good when needed to be used but if you plan on testing it first, wear noise canceling headphones!! 😂😂
