Finally found after years of looking as stores don't carry the old Banana Type combs anymore and any you find are hinged / jumbo / not good design or durable like the old ones. These are the old durable semi flexible plastic I remember. Made to last and the 4" size I have been looking for in this exact design. There are other designs out there that are supposedly interlocking but they barely come together and made of the crappiest plastic that would break after a few uses. Nevermind it is hard to find this size which is perfect for most heads. The jumbo's out there are ridiculous unless you're a freakin Amazon chick or a horse.The color I want is black, but couldn't find any so I ordered these anyway. Actually, they are semi transparent, not really opaque so the color seems to blend into my black hair pretty well so I'm perfectly happy with the color. I still would love these in Black or Clear in this size but for now these are just fine. I just wish they were not so pricey, that said, they are made to last.

At first I was just grateful to have found a retailer that carries these combs (perhaps they are just impossible to find in my area), but I've found these combs to rate as one of the best products I've found on Amazon. Although the price may seem high, these combs are nearly indestructible, so much so that one pair has lasted for almost daily use for over a year now. I have tried others that are cheaper and look identical, but they are flimsy, don't hold long, thick hair securly, and often break apart or snap immediately. I work at a job where I am required to pull my long hair back, and these combs give an easy ponytail that looks polished and 'done'. I would recommend these to anyone willing to pay a bit extra for a truly superior product.

These are great for pulling back some hair like a pony tail! Very durable!

I love these combs, so much. I wear them all the time. I've worn them for years. I'm so grateful that I can find them on Amazon, because these combs cannot be found in the store. I love the Large size. I bought the smaller size once, but the smaller size is not as useful to me as the large size. I hope these combs will always be available. I'll have a panic attack if they disappear :)

So happy I found these can never find them in stores! They work great no problems holding up my long curly hair I can do so many hairstyles now! Will have to buy more in near future:)

These are SO comfortable, and do not slip or loosen! My hair is very thick, very long, and very curly! I'd been looking for a long time for a hair tool that wouldn't pull and, believe me, they are one of my best tools in my 'hair aresonel'! The interlock design does exactly what it's suppose to do---not come apart. Oh yeh, I'd like to mention that this is made in the USA!!!!!
