Frontera Salsa Medium Double Roasted Tomato -- 16 oz

We LOVE this salsa. Only trouble is trying to find it in our local market. We enjoy it on scrambled eggs, flank steak, grilled anything and especially with our favorite tortilla chips. It's particularly delicious warmed, that's when the flavors really come to life. I've never noticed it being "watery" as described by another reviewer.

This is my favorite salsa. It has a very deep, kind of smoky flavor. It's a nice consistency for pouring on top of tacos. Someone said they think it's "watered down"-I don't agree, it's just a smoother, blended consistency. I think it's delicious! They've stopped carrying it at our local stores, though. So bummed.

Luckily there are countless brands of salsa as it seems everyone has their own opinions on what makes a great one.Having said that, I came across Rick Bayless's Frontera brand of Salsa. At first I did not connect the dots with Rick Bayless the Top Chef, but one taste of this Double Roasted salsa, and wham! Deep, rich flavors that are complex and fresh.Though I like spicier foods, my entire family appreciates this salsa. You can taste the attention to detail that Rick Bayless brings to his cuisine.

This Salsa would be so much better if the company didn't use filter water in their mix. The salsa taste watered down and is very runny. If you love Fire Roasted salsa, check out Arriba! Fire-roasted Red Salsas. That company makes a much better salsa.
