Recessed Medicine Cabinet

This product was very well packaged for shipping. It is also well made, although keep in mind it is a medicine cabinet, not intended for holding heavy items. It installed quickly. This is a particularly great option for anyone with an older house that has actual 2" x 4" studs. Our house was built in the 1930s and is constructed using true 2x4s. This means the space between the studs is a little less than more modern houses that use the trimmed 2x4s. This cabinet fit perfectly without having to trim down the studs. We hired a handyman to install it in our plaster and lathe bathroom wall and it took him just under two hours, start to finish. I plan to paint or stain the wood to make it look like a picture frame and put something decorative in the center. It's a second medicine cabinet for extra storage, and I didn't want it to look like a second storage cabinet.

Item shipped from Overstock.com although it was shows as WG Wood Products. I would assume that I ended up purchasing from a reseller and I could have purchased from Overstock myself. It looks nice but is very cheaply made considering that it was not even primed and was almost $200.00 I could have purchased a much better one from the local big box stock.We also had to put the back on the cabinet as it came loose. It also took several weeks for it to deliver.
