I originally found this while vacationing in Japan, and was STUNNED at how well it worked. No residue, no greasy feeling, so lightweight I do a double take if I'm even wearing it, good protection and makes my skin feel smooth. I'm glad I can find it here now!

Between the biore essense and gel, I still prefer the essense because of the lightweight feeling under makeup. But I have learned to Love this gel consistency for everyday wear if I do not have to wear makeup. There is slight white cast after putting it on which dissipates after a several minutes. The dry down does not leave a tacky feeling and feels velvety to the touch. Will buy again and hopefully the bigger size will stay forever. Kao Biore please keep the bigger bottle and tubes of the sunscreen.

I'm a sunscreen FREAK. I wear it like I'm going to burst into flames without it. I've worn sunscreen for decades now and use it rain or shine 365. I've tried nearly everything available in drugstores and department stores in the US. 20yrs ago I started ordering French made sunscreen directly from France in the highest spf as I could find. The best sunscreens now come from Japan and Korea. I have favorites for face and favorites for body.Ok, this is a tricky item and you need to judge it a couple of hours after applying it. When I squeeze it onto my hand it comes out as a light gel-cream that feels refreshing light and smooth as I spread it on my arms and face. Then suddenly it feels thick and heavy and the slight whiteness looks patchy and uneven (it DOES go away making this a great choice for people of color who don't want to look ashy and gray). I continue applying my makeup and everything is fine. An hour later it feels light and comfortable and looks dewy. When I feel my arm, I barely feel anything on my skin.Formula: There is a Watery Gel and a Watery Essence. I have both and tried one on each arm. There is barely any difference. Both leave a dewy finish on the face and a slightly more matte finish on my arms. Products like Neutrogena Dry Touch irritate my skin but this does not. Again this is a chemical sunscreen which won't leave the white cast that mineral based sunscreens leave. It stays on well during the day, doesn't smear or stain clothes (like Neutrogena did). To remove these tenacious sunscreens at the end of the day a fragrance free Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup Remover Wipe or Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water (blue cap only) takes it right off. Any makeup remover that says it removes "even waterproof mascara" will melt this off easily.I also use this on my child's body and the large bottle ensures I use enough.

Y’all please go back to the old formula am begging this not working for dark skin anymore

Leaves more of a white cast at first but still rubs in well. Purchased on accident and prefer the essence over the gel but still a fine product.

I really love this sunscreen! Before I bought this sunscreen I barely wore sunscreen because I hated how long it took to dry. My skin probably hated me. Since buying this sunscreen I’ve started wearing it daily. It dries almost immediately, which is really nice since I usually put makeup on after applying. I love this sunscreen! I will definitely be repurchasing when my second bottle runs out

This my first choice of facial sunscreen. It’s like, moist, and best of water based. There there is no sticky film that rubs off on your clothes or whatever.Discovered this in Japan years ago. For quite a while it was being sold in the USA. I was so happy to see the Amazon offered it a couple years ago.Good value. Perfect size for traveling.

This is a easy to spread sun protection. The consistency is on the thin and clear side, so you don’t have to worry about the whitening of your face with application. It’s easy to use under makeup. No weird smells to deal with. A little goes a long way because of it consistency. It’s thin but still moisturizing.
