.com The lotus Wetmop is designed to work with the lotus Sanitizing System (not included), but it also accepts other brands of floor-cleaning solutions. Pick Up Dirt and Grime Fast -- with No Chemicals and No Residue The lotus Wetmop, when used with the lotus Sanitizing System, cleans without chemicals to sanitize and disinfect your floors, and it saves you money. You can wash and reuse the lotus cloth bonnet up to 300 times versus the single-use mop cloths, and it lifts dirt and grease without smearing. You can even use you favorite floor-cleaning solution with the Wetmop, if you'd prefer; but it's easy to change over to the lotus Sanitizing System the moment you're ready to do away with harsh chemicals. Just clean the water vessel thoroughly, and add lotus treated water instead. How the Wetmop Works A 3-or 4-second spray dispenses enough lotus activated water to clean about 10 square feet of floor; and this water stays activated for about fifteen minutes before it begins to revert back to ordinary water and oxygen. Under regular usage conditions batteries will last about a year. When necessary, replace them with 4 AA batteries (batteries not included). How the Sanitizing System Works The lotus patented Oxyshield technology infuses cold tap water with an extra oxygen atom, creating a natural sanitizer. By passing air through 4,500 volts of electricity, the lotus system splits oxygen molecules into atoms and forces this extra atom to combine and form super-oxygen, or ozone. The third oxygen atom becomes the sanitizing agent, a natural oxidant -- which kills bacteria and viruses, and neutralizes pesticides. The Sanitizing System base is not included with the purchase of the Wetmop -- but together, these two products can liberate your home from fumes, chemicals, and harsh soaps. Additional Wetmop cloths are also available, though each cloth can be washed and reused up to 300 times. Works great and dries fast
I was debating between this mop and a steam mop. I went with this mop because it was half the price of a steam mop and it doesn't have to be plugged in while in use. I already own the Tersano system so I tried it. After putting in the batteries, nothing happened. I thought maybe I didn't connect it together right or it is a DOA. My husband reseated the batteries and it works great. I'm not sure if the oxygenated water kills on contact or I need to leave it for a little while. I spray the water around the kitchen then go around mop it. By the time I'm done, the other end of the kitchen is dried already. The mop is hard to push when the pad is dry. I usually wet the pad first, ring it out and then put it on. It glides nicely when wet. To save time from having to slip off a dirty pad and then put on a new one, I put both of them on at the same time. When one gets dirty, I simply slip it off and I'm ready to go. It cleans the tiles well. With tough dirt spot, I put the pad on its edge and use it to scrub. It doesn't clean the grout that well or grease spots. But it really feels clean when I'm done mopping and I love walking on the floor afterward. I no longer worry about my kids eating stuff off the floor. It is also useful in the bathrooms to clean around the toilet. Turn it on edge to clean the baseboards. Very handy mop. I hope they will make a hand-held version of the foam pad and microfiber for glass and other surfaces.Update: It is now May and the mop is still working great. It is not just the microfiber pad that makes the difference. I just cleaned the floor tonight and as I walk over the dried floor, it doesn't feel smooth. It was sort of tacky and not as shiny. I charged up another batch and gave it the "sniff" test. It didn't smell like ozone so I checked the cartridge and sure enough, it needed replacing. So you can tell the difference when the ozone is not present. I just wish there is an indicator like on the base unit to let you know when it needs replacing. I bought a bunch of ozone test strips from a spa place. When it gets here, I'm going to test the water to see how much ozone is present and a good way to check when it is low.

A great addition to the Lotus Santizing System
After just 2 weeks of using the Lotus Santizing System, I had buy the wet mop. I am glad that I did - it certainly lives up to the reputation of the Lotus system for cleanliness and household safety.I've been using a Swiffer WetJet for most of my mopping, which was great for avoiding the mess and re-contamination issues that sponge mops and string mops have. What I didn't like about the Swiffer is the wasteful disposable pads and the chemicals that the WetJet sprays on my floors. The Lotus Wet Mop addresses both of my concerns. The Lotus Wet Mop comes with a re-usable microfiber cloth rather which seems as effective as the Swiffer's disposable pads. The removable tank charges regular tap water using the Lotus Sanitizing System, and just like the spray bottle, gives you 15 minutes of sanitzing tap water. Like the wet jet, it uses 4-AA batteries to project a spray, shooting about 6" out and 4" wide. From there, you mop like normal. When finished, you can throw the microfiber cloth in with your laundry to be cleaned for next time (I'd recommend picking up some extra cloths.) I love that the durable clothes can be re-used over and over again.I have linoleum in the kitchen, laminate in 1 bathroom and tile in 2 more bathrooms + entry way. The Lotus Wet Mop works very well on all 3 surfaces, and I've especially noticed in the kitchen that the linoleum shines and feels clean on my bare feet - no sticky residue to be rinsed. Unfortunately, I have no wood floors so I can't say how it would perform on wood. The only downsides to this wet mop are: - Because the sanitizing water has no soap that give it a 'slip', it takes a bit more efford to push it along the floor than I'm used to. That was easy enough to overcome. - The water doesn't seem to shoot out as far or in as fine a mist as I'd like. I immagine that has something to keeping the oxygen from disolving from the water before it's had a chance to disinfect. - As with the spray bottle that comes with the base system, you have to run the mop water through a cycle on the Lotus base, so it's not convenient if you have a mopping emergency.

Great money saver
I loved my lotus sanitizer for cleaning my veggies and my counter tops, so I knew this would be a great product. For three years I've been using a Swiffer and spending way too much money for the chemicals and disposable cleaning pads. This mop seems very well made. The things I like best about it is how it gets lots of water on the floor. And since the water is free, it doesn't matter. I thought I would miss the disposable cleaning pads, but to be honest, I like the micro-cloth much better. It seems to clean much better and it's easy as a dish rag to wash out when I'm finished. My only complaint would be the mop is a little heavier and harder to move around than my Swiffer. I know this mop will be a big money saver for our family. I love it.

Love it!
I'm torn over only giving this product 4 out of 5 stars. My reason for doing so is the weight of the mop. I purchased one for myself and one for my elderly mom but had to return hers because it was just too diffucult for her to push. The mop itself is only a little heavier than the Swifter WetJet that she has been using - I believe that the microfiber pad causes the mop to drag somewhat, which causes it to be more difficult to push than her WetJet.That said, I kept the unit that I ordered for myself and I couldn't be happier with it! That microfiber pad really bites down against the floor and gets the floor super clean. The pads are easy to rinse out after use and I much prefer doing that, rather than using throw-away pads. I love the fact that I don't have to purchase pads and cleaning solutions.I have had the Lotus water sanitizing system as well as the water purification system for over a year now and can't imagine how I would get by without them.If you ever have a problem with their products, the Tersano company is just wonderful to deal with. When I had a problem with one of my units, they replaced it quickly and with no hassle.
