it can eat you soft lens, but i bought a second
my daughter assertively adopted the first one i bought because she was out of weekly lenses as they were still in the mail. based on my experience i suggested a 30 sec duration. she ended up using those lens another week for a total of 12 days. note. you turn the cleaner on, time it and press the button to turn if off, simple. i have toric lenses that are monthly. at 2 minutes the locked in time ate the lens after on week, but these had been used for 15 days. i decided to cut the wash time in half, the new lenses lasted 20 days. I ended up starting at 10 second on the third set, but they were not clean enough. I then extended the cycle to 15 to 20 seconds, bingo the lenses were clean and sharp. i have sever dry eyes. so deposits are a problem. tailoring the time for your lenses is key for this machine. after a cycle the lenses should feel the same as before you did the cycle. they should be flexible but not too pliable. if they feel very pliable or have no body, the cleaner is breaking down the lenses. this set of monthly lenses is going on 32 days at 15 t0 20 seconds of cleaning. they feel new and i seen sharp. at 35 days they will be replaced as when these fail beyond 30 days, there is very little warning - fall apart in your eye. my last set lasted 40 days the both lenses but fell apart just as i got in the car. had to use my glasses until i got home.

Brown Spots in bottom
Not sure what the brown spots are in the bottom. Kind of scary. I have had this for about 8 months now. I use it about 3x per week, as that is the number of days I wear lenses. I pretty much started getting these spots right away. I rinse it everytime after use with lens cleaner, then turn it upside down at an angle to let it air dry. No instructions on how to clean and maintain. That would probably help.

*updated
Doesn’t do anything. I’ve used it 3 times, 3/3 could’ve done a better job at cleaning. Basically, you put your contacts in and the “grime” will either sink or float to the top. But when you take the contacts out... the grime floating gets on them again. It makes the sound like it’s doing something, but really doing the “solution on palm” works just as well, if not better! I’m trying to justify the price but really the only useful thing that came with this was the TWO cases, but keep in mind, that’s $40+ for contact cases?Save yourself the trouble and do NOT purchase this—Update: replacement was sent!!! Seems item originally received is defective.

It works and looks so cute
my friend recommend this contect lense cleaner to me and I think it's amazing too. I normaly use 4wk contenct lense and always feel small dusty sticked on my lense, Its hard for me to clean by my hand causz I do nail art. So, this cleaner really helps me, I could feel more comfortable to wear it after clean. Just want to let people know It's worth. BTW its also portable and its not a big size.

Easy to use.
I appreciated the instructions and hoe the lid secures tight. I would improve this product by adding a feature to secure the tools their slot.

Good if you like torn contacts
This thing seemed to be working fine at first, but I started to experience a high rate of lenses getting slight tears inside the machine, presumably from then sticking to the plastic tray before it started up. I'm not made of money so I have no interest in purchasing tons of extra lenses trying to figure out what the issue is, but all instructions were carefully followed.

Useless
This is a useless device. You're better off cleaning the lenses as usual in the palm of your hand with your rubbing fingers. It does nothing or close to nothing.

Would but again.
Outstanding product. Doesent seem like it does anything but the lenses come out as clean as the day I took them out of the package. It's simple too, just fill the dish, hit a button, wait 2 minutest, put them in storage. Done.
