Works Well but Instruction Booklet Photo is Misleading
Lots of people saying the product doesn't work; that it stops working when the red tube gets moisture in it. This happened to me when I was using it as pictured in the instructions - with the red tube below the metal part. It's actually the opposite (the instructions display the tube on the bottom) to make it work properly. If you keep the red tube above the metal part, the product works perfectly. I'm almost finished blasting my old pickup frame. Gotta admit, it takes a long time to do and it gets messy, but it saves a ton of money compared to hiring a dustless company to do it. Here's what I recommend: 1) Tape the red tube part on the spray gun barrel (not the metal part with the unit) so the unit doesn't rotate and the red tube stays on top when using your pressure washer gun - I used duct tape. As I noted, this keeps it from spinning around where the tube is on bottom and can moisture in it. 2) Use glass media if possible. I used play sand - which works fine; but I have to filter it with a window screen so the bigger particles don't clog up the unit. I got 50 lb bags of glass media at Northern Tool on sale for around $6/bag, which was comparable to $5/bag for play sand at HD. 3) Get a 10 gallon bucket instead of a 5 gallon bucket for the media. Seems like I spend more time filling up the bucket as opposed to using it. 4) Do in a grassy area if possible; it does leave a pile of sand/glass behind. If in the grass, it will simply get absorbed into the ground. Final note - I simply bought this product because I didn't want to pay through the nose to get the rust off my restoration project. It works well; just takes time and effort. Good luck.

Amazing Job !!
I read the reviews and listened to the key point "Keep your sand dry". I was skeptical but can attest that this thing worked liked a champ! unbelievable how it took scale off. once i could see what i had to work with the feed conveyor is going to be a total rebuild not a patch job. the hours of wasted time this saved is worth it's weight in at least silver! One thing i said to my neighbor was no matter how many times i saw keep your sand dry or it will clog up of course there was that guy who gave this 1 star because it clogged up. this is 5 stars all day long.

Would buy again. Good value.
I own a 3300 psi 2.5 gpm pressure washer. For any of these types of wet blasting units you need a 4000 psi 4 gpm pressure washer to quickly strip paint down to bare metal. I am restoring some farm implements stuck in the dirt for 35 years. They are covered with rust. Sanding would take too long. And I have concerns about using acid because I don't want to hurt the structural integrity of the farm implements. Therefore I bought this and decided to give it a try. First, the quality of the components are high. Stainless steel and brass. The tube is fine. For $39.99 what you get is high quality. I also ordered some replacement tips. I bought a bulk size 5lb baking soda box. I located it away from where any water might get on it. I turned the end of the lance up so the siphon tube was above the tip of the lance, thus ensuring water didn't drip into the siphon tube. It did a good job. It took off the flaking rust and only left non flaking rust on my snow plow. I then power washed this, let it dry, and sprayed it with Rustoleum Rust Converter. I plan on applying primer and red paint to finish it up. This is a good value. If I had a very powerful pressure washer I could have removed all rust, but that is not this product's fault. I would purchase it again, as it saved me a lot of time sanding. Plus I didn't have to breathe in dust from sanding. I have only used baking soda. It is fine so it doesn't clog, dry, and easily washes away for easy cleanup.

One time use
It works, but keep in mind the ceramic tip/insert is not replaceable on this. After a 5 gallon bucket of play sand, the tip was blown out and the functionality started to drop off quick. I actually removed the insert, but was not able to find one like it for sale anywhere. User tips. Keep the sand tube on the nozzle oriented towards the top of the wand at all times. If you lay the wand down, or let that tube rotate to the bottom water will drip back into the sand tube plugging it up. As long as it stays upright, it works well.

Works great!
Awesome. Wish I knew about this sooner. Make a hell of a mess but cut my blasting time in half.

Great idea, not so great function
It definitely cleaned the metal, but it was slow, a waste of water, and a waste of sand are understatements.

Works Great
This actually works better than expected. Be sure to use dry sand. Don’t get anything with any moisture. I used a 2500psi pressure washer to remove paint from a pontoon boat. Works good. It would definitely be better with a higher pressure washer.

Payed for itself in the first use.
Great product for the price. It is so simple to hook up and does a great job. It uses a lot of media but because you can use silica sand it’s not bad at all on media price. I have been stripping/cleaning a 78 C10 with stubborn dirt, grease and paint. It has had no problem cutting through it all. Sometimes you have to readjust the sand rod and it’ll misfire once in a while but still way worth it all. I did the front part of the truck with 150 lbs of silica sand and I’m real happy about it. Saved me tons of time and money.
