Phlebotomy Technician Specialist: Certification Exam Review

I bought this book with good reviews a 1 yeas ago, and finally, I have been preparing an RPT exam after finished my phlebotomy program. During I am studying, I have some doubts about this book. some information is not updated. I tried to look for when this book was published. I was surprised that it was published by 2007. I probably chose the wrong one because it still talks about code for ICD-9 CM. Also, I realized that so many mistakes with wrong answers against what this author mentions. I almost finish studying with this book, but I feel the review book is not enough to give me take an exam. I bought a recently new review book AMT recommends in their handbook for future phlebotomists.

I'm going to be taken my certification test in the next couple of months and was looking for a text that would help me to better understand how the test are setup and what maybe on the tests! This book is great has easy to read texts illistractions and very informative..... has lots of practice exams and has the answers in the back of the book they give u the answer and explain why and why the other answers will not work love this book and i think its going to give me a great leg up when i take the test also it comes with a great CD that gives u questions the will be on the ASCP, AMT, and NCA exams and the CD grades the tests that u take so u no where u need to study and where ur strengths are! I usually dont write reviews but i had to with this book maybe i can help someone else and that is what its all about!PS the person that wrote the review for this book thank u because u r the reason why i bought this book!

Includes an excellent CD with study and test questions based on ASCP, AMT and NCA topics. The book is very, very good. Well written, easy to follow with detailed review sections and illustrations, also more practice tests. Made a high score with this book. This study guide gave me more information than the school I attended. Highly recommend!Made an expensive mistake in ordering another study guide by another author and it was a rip-off. Bought it based on good reviews. I think someone must have paid for them because they did not match that worthless book!I promise I am a real buyer and I was helped with Ms. Kalanick's book.

I have found it useful to reveal my areas of weakness while preparing for my National exam. I would not use it exclusively, but if I would have purchased a textbook to go along with this, it probably would have been better.

This book is in excellent condition I have not used the book yet so I will be looking over it and letting you as students whether or not this book helped me for the ASCP exam or not.
