Do You Suffer from Tangled Hair, Painful Brushing or Frustrating Hair Loss. Not anymore. It's not your fault. For most women, a hairbrush is a hairbrush. A ton of money is spent on products and treatments but often what could really save you from a bad hair day is the right brush. One brush, no more tangles. The Solution For Your Stubborn Hair, Unlike old ordinary brushes, the Shessentials Detangling Brush's smart geometric design helps to disperse pressure placed on the hair for a faster, more comfortable, and pain-free brushing experience with far fewer torn or broken hairs. Effortlessly glide through hair ensuring each strand is treated in the most delicate manner so breakage and split ends do not occur. The result is incredibly smooth and shiny hair. Suitable for all hair types: fine, normal, and thick.

Prongs keep breaking.
Alright so, the average review here is four stars. And I don't know how, but I'll just assume I am the outlier for now. The brush definitely detangles, but not without breaking while in the process of doing the detangling. The little prongs have been breaking off in my hair. I have very basic hair, it's nothing too absurd. It's thicker, typical wavy to curly hair. It's not obscenely curly or thick. But as I brush it through my hair, the little prongs bend back and fall off. Luckily this thing has a "life-time warranty", but damn. Shouldn't be needing a new one after a month of using it.

I like it, and I know it's not designed for ...
Ok, I have to confess that I bought this brush specifically for my small dog who has very soft wavy hair. The brush works very well, and is very gentle on my scared little rescue dog. He actually allows me to brush him. But after using only a few times, I have noticed that some of the teeth have fallen out. I would understand this if he was extremely wiry, or had a heavy undercoat, but he does not. Overall, I like it, and I know it's not designed for dogs, but I don't think the overall quality is that great.

Thick Hair? Skip this one.
I was unimpressed with this brush. I have thick, curly, shoulder length hair. This brush couldn't get through my hair whether my hair was wet or dry. (It might be quite good for thinner hair or children's hair.) I was breaking off a bristle every time I used the brush, so it wouldn't have lasted that long if I'd continued to use it.As other reviewers have noted the handle is too small. I got around that by holding the the upper part where the bristles are instead of the handle. Women with small hands won't be able to do this; my hands are fairly large and I could only just grip the wider part.

Sent it back. Bad combo - poor quality and over-priced.
Opted for this one instead of the knock-offs b/c of the lifetime guarantee. Within 2 weeks of normal use, several bristles broke and others had visible breaking points (i.e. the 'white' color you see when you bend plastic until it breaks). The let-down is that the brush actually works, but just isn't built to last, hence two stars instead of one. A lifetime guarantee does not offer me much comfort when the product can't make it past the trial period.

Thank Goodness for Money Back Guarantees!
This 100% money back brush absolutely fell apart within a couple of days. I have very fine hair and it's also very long, so it tangles at the hint of a breeze. I've used the Goody tangle free brush and it works great, but the bristles fall out after a while. However, the Goody brush is 1/3 the price of this brush and lasts way longer. Maybe this brush is a knock-off and not an original product??? Whatever the case, I am returning it and getting another Goody brush.

great stocking stuffer
I love this hair brush. I have been using it for months and my hair looks much better. My hair is weak and thinning but also tangles easily. This brush pulls out very little hair by not tugging. I think it would make a great stocking stuffer for preteens and teens girls.Mrs. G

JUNK!!!
This brush is a cheap plastic piece of garbage. The bristles are like plastic toothpicks that easily break off with each use. I bought this brush for my 3 yr old who has fine hair that curls at the end. I trashed the brush after 3 uses because I got tired of picking up pieces of black plastic bristles. As for the way it untangles, the brush was by no means extraordinary. Strongly DO NOT recommend.

Works great but breaks
I have had this brush for about a week. I have fine hair that tangles really easily It is much better a brushing through my tangled hair than any brush I have ever used before. It works great on wet hair without pulling or breaking my hair. Also it was able to tackle a dry hair tangle, that I normally would have had to brush in three sections using detangler spray on each section, with ease. The one major problem is that the bristles keep falling off. I have only had the brush for a little over a week and already 16 bristles have broken off. At least one seems to break of with each use. If the brush continues to break at this rate it will be unusable.

Be forewarned!! This is a "hair ripper" not a brush
Absolutely terrible!! I have very long hair (past my waist) and it WAS all one length. The key word being "WAS" :( This brush totally broke my hair! Caused so much breakage that I couldn't help but cry every time I look in the mirror! It's ruined the long beautiful hair that I've worked at growing, keeping healthy for over a decade!!! I still have trouble looking at my reflection because of the severity of the breakage that's caused a million flyaway hairs and it's practically given me UNWANTED layers!! It's seriously THAT BAD!!Ladies, please don't make the same mistake I did.Normally I don't even write reviews! But I figured something good has to come out of my heartache- so if I can prevent even one woman from ruining her hair with this "hair ripper" - then I'm happy to help spare someone else the pain that this brush has caused me! (Hopefully Amazon does the right thing and keeps my sincere post review up for customers to read and have fair warning!! After all, not all reviews are going to be light and fluffy!! These review boxes should help spread the TRUTH and spare other Amazon customers the same fate as those of us who've been victimized by horrible products masking themselves as "helpful to hair" when that's the furthest thing from the truth!!)

Good Customer Service
I had initially reviewed this product poorly due to the open package, broken brush and missing bonus brush. Following the return of this item, the owner of the company personally contacted me to apologize, embarrassed regarding the quality of product sent out to me, and offered to send me a new brush free of charge. The replacement brush came promptly, and in great condition. The brush is a good size, and feels great in my hand. I use it primarily for my 3 year old daughter who has long curly hair that tangles easily, and she will sit through me brushing her hair with minimal complaints of pulling - this alone is fantastic.I recommend this product, I am happy with the brush and the company for going above and beyond to rectify a complaint.

Not great for thick hair or larger knots
This brush is ok, but it's not what I was expecting. It's about 7" long and about 4" wide, so it's a good size to get through a lot of hair fast. It does not have the 3 different heights of bristles that I have seen in other detangling brushes however. Because of this, it doesn't do well on larger knots or thicker hair. It works fine for my thin hair, but I'm scared the bristles are going to break going through my daughter's very long thick hair.
