Good glass for a CQB rifle
I happen to like the short-range IL reticule optic concept for a battle rifle scope; this Kruger is an example of that concept. The glass is good quality (no distortion around the edges, gathers light well and objects are clear); the IL reticule functions properly (red and green reticule with several brightness settings for each); and you can lower the settings so the tube is not "washed out" in low light (scope is useable in low-light). Mount is solid, controls are well-designed and clicks are distinct. Mounted on a BM AR ORC 5.56 platform. The 1.5x does cause a little distortion vs a straight red dot (1x), but it's still workable with both eyes open. I'm well aware there are optics snobs out there by the bucketful - but I no longer make my living with a battle rifle, and the taxpayers are no longer subsidizing my optics choices. This Kruger is definitely "good enough" if you've got the will...compares favorably with the Primary Arms 1-4x24, another excellent example of this optics concept in the reasonably-priced battle rifle optics category.UPDATE 11/13: At this point I'm gonna' have to say the mount is under-designed. I have tried every trick I know to get the scope to stay put, but it's a lot of stress on the single, rather small-ish mounting point - at least on my 5.56 carbine it is. I'll be contacting Kruger and will report back.UPDATE to the UPDATE: Contacted Kruger about the mount working loose (and yes, of course I was using loctite...) and they shipped me a new one immediately! Can't say fairer than that. New one stays put better, mount contact area is a little larger than the previous one. So far so good, and excellent customer service!

read review but it is a nice scope
I have owned now for over six months. I like the scope for my intended purpose. I wanted a nice scope with variable magnification that would hold zero. It fits the bill. I will order a better quality scope with a measurable duplex later but for 125 versus 500 this enabled me to get a scope I could afford now while investigating which higher end scope I want in he future. It hold zero and I am able to make very impressive groups. The clarity could be better but is very good for the money. I would recommend to the manufacturer to use a mildot type reticle or something measurable. The target turrets are pointless as you are not able to estimate windage. So you would have to use ballistic calculators and dial in adjustments. It is not that kind of scope and again pointless to use target turrets. All in all a great scope for money. If your budget allows closer to 300 dollars look elsewhere. If you have a tight budget this will get you a nice scope if your looking for a low variable power scope. To add I did get deer using this scope. If you just planning on hunting it is a nice scope. The illumination in the scope is null and void to me. During daylight it is almost impossible to see. I don't do much night hunting so can not give honest assessment on illumination at night.I hole this helps. I do highly recommend for any .22lr rifle. I will put this on my .22 after purchase of a higher ended scope for my ar.

... a rifle that was this in-expensive yet i am happy i did
i was a bit nervous buying a sight for a rifle that was this in-expensive yet i am happy i did. as of right now, roughly 800 rounds or so, it is holding well. its got great visual. I like the LED green and Red. the only thing is sorta dis like is the mount. it only works one way due to the LED light switch. which made for an interesting mount. I have to use a round deflector cause i shoot left handed. so i have to have this mounted farther forward then my previous sight. however, this is not bad enough for me to mark down on the quality of the scope it self.

Nice scope
I purchased this scope for a 5.56 AR build. It zeroed quickly at 100 yards and I was driving tacks (pun intended) at 300 yards. Held zero perfectly. The turrets are easy to calibrate and the mount is a comfortable height. I took off a star for the mount knob since you need a wrench to tighten it. A quick disconnect would have been nicer as would inclusion of a pair of lens caps.

Fabulis Scope for the price !!!
This scope is VERY impressive when you take it out of the box. The single point mount is already installed on the 30mm scope tube. The mounting base locks securely to any Weaver or Picatinny rail to eliminate any scope movement . The Fire-Plex reticle (or F-Plex) has 5 brightness adjustment on the left-hand side. Easy to pick up a target at any setting either with 1 eye or both eyes open. The Wind-age & Elevation knobs are easily re-settable to zero once scope had been sighted in.I would recommend this scope to anyone who has an AR15/16 type rifle as the optics and construction is quality stuff.

Not sure if I got a lemon
The website says it weighs <17oz, which I think is for the lens only, w/o the mount. Actually the whole set weighs 19.8oz.This scope didn't make its way to range. The inside of the tube is quite dusty, indeed there are three dark spots on the reticle.I bought it as "like new" from warehousedeals. So probably the one I got was not as good as new.

Good clarity, have not had a chance to take ...
Good clarity, have not had a chance to take it to the range yet to zero it. One small spot on front lens, but does not interfere with sight picture.
