Lava Lunch Heated Lunch Tote

Some background information.I am a security guard, for 12 years. That's a lot of lunches or dinners. Eating out is costly.So, I saw the Lava Lunch, was happy that I may get a hot meal. Oh, I forgot, microwave is to far away. I only have 30 minutes for meal break.I checked the web site and saw the demo tape. Steam was rising from the container, look like it just came out of the microwave.I got one. First, the design is wrong, you have to lay the bag on its side to insert a large container.I heated the "rocks", according to the instructions.Right at the 4 hour mark, I tried my meal. Luke warm.I tried 3 times, using different heating times for the meals and the rocks.The bag is on the table collecting dust.One other thing, I tried to contact the company, to get help or information. The is no contact number or web address.I really do not want to give it one star.

Lava Lunch has hit the mark with this product. For years my kids have complained that their lunches were cold, even when they were packed in other vessels that claim to keep food hot for up to 6 hours. Lava Lunch keeps hot foods reasonably hot (let's face it, even cold freezer bags don't keep the food frozen for hours, they just maintain a cold environment). This product has allowed me to expand the variety of food items my kids bring to school including hot sandwiches, pizza, pasta, or any leftovers we have in the house. I just heat up the item and place it in foil or a food safe container and place it in the bag. I do recommend buying extra stones, because putting the food in between two rocks ensures a hotter lunch.

Keeps food warm until lunch time so I don't have to pack sandwiches every day.
