An Introduction to Stellar Astrophysics aspires to provide the reader with an intermediate knowledge on stars whilst focusing mostly on the explanation of the functioning of stars by using basic physical concepts and observational results. The book is divided into seven chapters, featuring both core and optional content: Basic concepts Stellar Formation Radiative Transfer in Stars Stellar Atmospheres Stellar Interiors Nucleosynthesis and Stellar Evolution and Chemically Peculiar Stars and Diffusion. Student-friendly features include: Detailed examples to help the reader better grasp the most important concepts A list of exercises is given at the end of each chapter and answers to a selection of these are presented. Brief recalls of the most important physical concepts needed to properly understand stars. A summary for each chapter Optional and advanced sections are included which may be skipped without interfering with the flow of the core content. This book is designed to cover the most important aspects of stellar astrophysics inside a one semester (or half-year) course and as such is relevant for advanced undergraduate students following a first course on stellar astrophysics, in physics or astronomy programs. It will also serve as a basic reference for a full-year course as well as for researchers working in related fields. Review: A really good physics book - Just three chapters in, but I can already tell this is going to be a good read. Enough mathematics detail so an ameteur isn't left scratching their head, very clear explanations of the physics involved and worked problems. Highly recommended Review: Good - ๊ตฟ

Fascinating Plasmic Energy Study Of Cosmic Astrophysics That Raises An Odd Question
This was a good read-study for me, as I am interested in my private study on a universe, finite and spherical, moving through eternity. A constantly changing multi-layered sphere formed by complex violent electrical plasmic storms..Plasma, visible energy in our solar system, brings up my peculiar question: Are ghostly apparitions on earth a visible plasmic energy excited into milky shapeless clouds, visible from unknown after-death energy? Is it related to stellar plasmic energy?

Valuable material but terrible editing job for Kindle version.
Content is solid but there are so many typos you have to try to ignore them or youโll want to shut the book and dismiss it as unprofessional.

Readable, interesting, free of "bloatware"
This was the required text for my undergrad college class. Clear, concise, readable, etc. As a student, it sparked my interest. So nice to have a book free of bloat (notes about online crap from the publisher, giant margins, lengthy footnotes, excessive pictures, etc.) Nice to carry around a paperback that doesn't weigh 100 pounds. In class we used versions of the formulas that our professor said are a little more modern, particularly regarding radiative opacity (we defined radiative opacity as cm^2/cm^3 instead of cm^2/gram). Overall easy to learn from.

Great Content, Poor Print Quality
While the content of the book is outstanding, the production quality is terrible. The paper quality is poor and the print is faded and not uniform throughout. Apparently this book was printed "just-in-time". I will not buy any more print books from Amazon online. I will have to see it and hold it in my hands before I spend this kind of money for their books again.

Excellent!
This is one of the best book on the market that covers the most important topics of stellar astrophysics (stellar formation, stellar atmospheres, stellar interiors, stellar evolution, etc.) at the advanced undergraduate level. The sections on the Saha equation, the radiative transfer equation, stellar atmospheres and on nucleosynthesis are excellent. The explanations of the physical phenomena are clear and direct which makes this an excellent textbook.

An Introduction to Stellar Astrophysics
This is a great book describe related topics to stellar astrophysics such as stellar formation, stellar atmospheres, stellar evolution, stellar interiors . I bought this book during my graduate studies to improve my knowledge on the topic. Some topics were new to me but I think this book delivered good sounding knowledge on the most important concepts of related to Stars.
