Space 1999 Series 2 Maya Action Figure

First of all, I purchased this product through Amazon from Bull Market Toys. When I recieved it, there were cracks in the boots. Since I wasn't planning on opening it (keeping it for collection) I decided I wasn't going to bother with it, but included the problem in the feedback. Bull Market Toys immediately contacted me and sent out a replacement which is in great condition. SO KUDOS TO BULL MARKET TOYS (thanks Mike)!!!Other than that, she stands 18" tall (bigger than a Star Wars figure but not quite as tall as Barbie) and she wears her season 2 outfit complete with laser gun (but no comlink!). Right now she sits in her box on display over my Space: 1999 DVD collection set, awaiting the others to join her.

First, let me say that I waited decades for a Maya doll. Unfortunately, I had problems with Maya's boots as well. When I attempted to take the boot off her entire foot came with it. I was initially pleased when I noticed that the line was manufactured in India instead of China, but, wow, I have new respect for Chinese manufacturing. The entire line of toys are flimsy, which is a shame since there are some nice likenesses and costuming here. What should have been a dream come true for collectors is a sad disappointment.

This Maya figure brought back the memories for me.... not sure why the head is sooo big, but the costume is authentic... Not really for playing with because seems a big fragile... collectors should enjoy it. Boots where not fitting well, so when I took them off to see why found that both feet where broken on the side where the foot would attach to the ankle... not sure if this was/is standard or not, but was not a big deal.
