GC Waldom Alignment Tool Kit, Anti-Static, 9 Pc

If you know someone into electronics this kit is great for making adjustments on electronic devices without creating a static charge. Would recommend great addition to the electronics kit.

These are good alignment tools. Purchased the set to work on my Zenith Trans-Oceanic Radios. The only reason why I gave this set 4 star is the really rotten carrying case. It is built as a pocket protector, would is going to walk around with a set of Alignment tools in a shirt pocket. The worst part is you cannot keep the tools in it. and inverted positioning and all the the sticks slide out all over everything. Tool yes, case no, go ahead and get them but dump the case as soon as you get the set and put the sticks in something else. I put mine in a Crystal Light Pink Lemonade container.

Let me start off by saying I'm not disappointed in the slightest in the tools themselves. They are top shelf stuff. But people need to be aware these are conductive nylon tools and as such aren't suitable for high voltage like vacuum tube equipment. These work great on transistorized/IC electronic equipment and have nice variety of ends.

these strip easy. use a metal screwdriver to break things free first before using these. they will strip on stubborn rf transformers.

The description is WRONG! It does NOT include a pouch for carrying/storing these tools.UPDATE: I see that even a year later after I've purchased these (chose these over others here on Amazon because this was described as having a case/pouch), the ad description is still reflecting WRONGLY. This does NOT have a case or pouch, as is stated in ad. Buyer beware. Not as advertised.

Great tools for making adjustment on circuit board pots. A very handy assortment on tools.

Bought these too do some simple alignment on some of my old radios.They worked great for what I do,around the shack...good set for the price...

Nice little set of tools, however, many of them have metal tips. I bought these for working on CB radios, and some of the components in radios are either electrically charged, or are affected when you place metal objects close to them during alignment, which makes it harder to make adjustments because the metal tips are themselves are conductive, even if the shaft of the tools are effectively non-conductive nylon.There are however a couple of tools with plastic tips, enough of them to do what I need to do. I just thought it was important to note that most of the tools actually have metal tips, so if you are going to use them for tasks that require non-conductive tips, this might not necessarily be the tool set for you.
