Double-Sided Carpet Tape, 2" by 36 Yards, by Reflection 503

i bought this to hold down an area rug that wouldn't stay perfectly flat, and though it seems to hold somewhat well, it doesn't last long. And when the dogs run across the carpet-that's all it takes to dislocate it. It would probably work well for other jobs, but not carpet backing to carpet.

not what I was looking for, tape is just flimsy adhesive, difficult to remove backing. Really wanted doublestick fiber tape,

I used this tape to put 12 carpet treads on my oak wood tread stair case in my house. Prior to putting the carpet treads on, 2 of my older dogs slid down the stairs and injured themselves. After putting the carpet treads down with this tape the stairs are very safe and no more injuries. The carpet treads just do not move. My wife even feels safer using the stairs now.During installation I didn't get 2 of the carpet treads lined up properly so I had to pull them up and reposition them. (You know how that goes; your wife sees your mistakes plainly.) The tape came up easily and remained attached to the carpet. No residue on the wood and the tread went back down with no problems.One nice thing about this tape is that it doesn't stick immediately so you can slide the tread when you first put it down.Buy this tape if you are putting carpet on wood. This tape is great!!!

So far the tape is doing a good job in holding stair treads in place. I hope that they are durable, they been in use about a month and I have had no problems yet.

Does not work for carpet on hardwood.

I purchased this because I wanted a tape that would hold very well to repair a loose edge on a good quality carpet . It does not disappoint you for holding power. In fact it holds so well it is difficult to remove from the roll if your not careful ! I also tried it on a woodworking project doing " pad sawing" on a bandsaw. It worked very well with using small pieces of tape to hold the wood pieces together and then to separate the pieces after sawing the pattern. For me, it did exactly what I needed to accomplish. Much stronger than what I could find locally.

Don't ever get your fingers twisted up in a strip of this very sticky tape. It's the best for carpet tiles.
