I think it’s a very good speed light for the price, if you know what you’re doing.
This is actually my first speed light so I don’t know everything. I quickly began trying to learn as much as I could but really going out and using it as much as possible is the best way. I have a Canon T3i and the light sticks out just a tiny bit in the hot shoe on top of the camera but it still works and does it’s job.The functions/buttons on the light are pretty simple to use but you will have to know the terminology and please read the instruction book. I didn’t read it and thought I could just figure it out but that was a bad idea. It comes with a nice little pouch for caring around. It won’t protect your light but it’s a nice little pouch for you to carry your light. It also comes with a diffuser and cold shoe attachment. It also has a slide out white card and honeycomb diffuser at the top. There is no remote trigger included but I am able to set it to slave 2 and open the cameras pop-up light to use it remotely. The speed light needs four AA batteries but I have not used it to the point where the batteries are depleted. I do carry around an extra four just in case. I suggest you do the same. Overall I think this will be a very good beginner speed light. I’ve already captured some nice images but completely by accident. Ha ha. I will continue to use it so I know what I am doing.

Great speedlight flash for the money
Was looking for an inexpensive speedlite flash for my Sony camera with good reviews and this one seemed to fit that bill. It comes with a cloth bag, stand, manual, and diffuser. Although only able to use in manual on my camera, there are a number of settings you can change on the flash itself. I tested it on a couple occasions in dark interior environments and in those scenarios, I found that it worked best with the diffuser in place and bouncing the light off the ceiling or wall to help soften the light on my subjects. I haven't played around with the built in deflector or in an outdoor environment but looking forward to trying that out next. The flash requires 4 double A batteries which I wasn't crazy about at first but time will tell how fast it burns through them. The user manual recommends that the batteries be removed if not in use for long periods of time which makes sense, I guess. Overall, I was very impressed with its performance thus far, and build quality, especially for the price.

Nice simple flash for manual settings.
First, this flash has no simple automatic exposure mode, it's strictly for manual setting of flash power. Second, it's a great low price and is very versatile for both on-camera and off-camera uses. It's best used in situations where you can take a couple of test shots and adjust the flash power to be exactly right.I tested it using both the onboard optical trigger in both S1 and S2 modes, and with external triggering in Manual mode using the PC Sync terminal with a separate radio trigger system I already had. It worked as expected in all cases. It comes with a small plastic stand that also has a 1/4-20 threaded (also plastic) hole underneath. It has a slip-on diffuser and a built-in wide angle panel and small retractable bounce card.It also has an unpadded and very thin velvetine pouch to protect against scratches but nothing more forceful than that. The manual is really terrible and they should employ someone fluent in English to rewrite it.The main concern with durability would be the battery door. I've only closed it once when installing the first batteries. I'll try to keep the opening and closing cycles on this to a minimum as it seems to be the most fragile sounding and feeling part when using it.If you need an inexpensive manual strobe for both on and off camera use that can be triggered in a number of ways, I recommend this unit at this price or even better if you can get it on a special.Static situations like product photography or a headshot station are ideal for simple manual strobes like this.

Good choice for beginners
I was looking for the inexpensive flash, then I found this and after going through all the reviews and thought this might be a good fit.It has a decent build quality. It comes with nice velvet cloth bag, stand and user manual. It has user friendly menu, buttons, and LCD display. It's very easy to mount and work with it. It has a variety of modes like S1, S2, Multi and High speed strobe. It has vertical rotation from 0 to 90 and horizontal rotation from 0 to 270. It response back time is quick. I use film so I didn't get to test the HSS, but it seemed good. It has a very nice detachable diffuser and bounce card. The flash output has 8 levels of the light exposure.See the two shots attached. The first shows how it looks on a vintage slr. The second one shows the bright menu. Not too big, heavy, or clunky. Menu is easy to read.So far I am impressed with this flash. It's certainly a good choice for beginners.

Perfect on-camera flash for the price
Been taking a few snapshots with this speedlight in different lighting conditions and am very happy with the results. When you first take it out of the package its evident that it is made well and high quality. I was surprised at the build for the price point, I was expecting it to be a little flimsy, but it is not at all. It is ready to use almost immediately after turning on and has fired reliably on every shot so far. I especially like the built in reflection panel for a but more even lighting and the articulating flash head is necessary to get the correct angle.Overall I have zero complaints for the product with this price point, the different flash setting are easy to choose from, it fires reliably, and the build quality is high. If you just need an easy and reliable on camera flash I'd definitely recommend.
