KOHLER Diverter Cartridge Assy

I did a lot of research on why my Kohler deck mounted diverter was leaking and found this model number in the exploded drawings. I wanted to buy a rebuild kit as I was pretty sure it was only the o-rings that were the problem, but when I took the old one out there was a lot of pitting and corrosion that was also a problem - so I'm really glad I got the entire assembly. This had been a problem for months and was so easy to replace it was fixed in minutes - I am going to buy another one as a spare when the price is lower. The price fluctuates more than 25% on this item, so watch the price if you can wait.

I initially purchased a washer replacement kit for this cartridge, but those kits are incomplete, resulting in a continuously leaking diverter. I ended up buying this assembly, installed it, and problem solved. It’s just expensive, but the last one did last 20+ years.

Delivered on time, fits and works as it should, installed it myself which was an easy job (you do need a socket or wrench of 1" or slightly more), great price.

Holy hell this is expensive, but it fits and works as expected. Dropped a star for price and longevity.

Replaced broken diverter valve in 5 minutes. New part looked like better quality than broken part removed.

This diverter valve replaced a diverter valve that had started to leak. This part I received was an original Kohler part. The delivery was a complete joke. Amazon shipped via Pitney Bowes. The tracking information provided claimed an attempt was made to deliver the part to my house a day before it cleared customs and entered Canada from the US. Everything was resolved by an excellent customer service agent from Amazon. However I still invested considerable time getting the issue settled. Net, a great product at a great price partially offset by incompetent shipping and questionable tracking information.

I had the plumber install this replacement part, so installation was easy for me, and probably for him too. It was easily installed from the top, so no tiles had to be removed. Kohler has a lifetime warranty but this part was on backorder. They told me to buy it and they would reimburse me, which they did. They didn't' pay for the plumber though!

Replaced an identical 74392 cartridge. Product came in authentic Kohler bag and arrived 2 days prior to date of stated arrival. Very impressed
