Situated in NYC's vibrant Nolita district and most recently in Wiliamsburg, Brooklyn, La Esquina offers an innovative rendition on tasty Mexican inspired street food. Housed in the former Wythe Diner space, Café de La Esquina's original iconic building is a landmark within the Williamsburg neighborhood and dates back to 1952. The space features refurbished original aspects as well as new, unique elements combined to create a casual, and transporting atmosphere of New York meets Guadalajara. La Esquina, meaning "the Corner," became a hub of interest for restaurant-exploring New Yorkers, when rumors came that there was actually a second restaurant hidden below street level. Hidden behind a door marked "No Admittance" and "Employee's Only," brave souls would find themselves faced with a maître d', who would guide them through a rabbit warren of halls and stairwells to a secluded restaurant and bar. Sometimes called "the Vault," this speakeasy-style bar featured fresh, vibrant cooking and over 100 varieties of premium tequila. Clearly, La Esquina was out to turn some heads. So when La Esquina released their new line of salsas, we were thrilled to try them. Just like the restaurant, these salsas make a lasting impression. La Esquina Salsas create the most distinct flavor anywhere, combining ripe tomatoes, hot Arbol chili peppers, and tart green tomatillos blended together with smooth, sweet slow-cooked onions and hot Serrano chili peppers. Sure to satiate any salsa craving, enjoy it with chips, tacos, or any meat dish.Varieties Sold Separately.
