They are nice socks. I am 6 feet tall and believe they would have worked better for me if the socks actually would come up to my knees; they fell about 1 1/2 inches short right at the thick part of my calf. So they would tend to slip down after a while during walking or working out. It would have been nicer if they made these socks a little bit longer. The black material above the checkered material in the picture appears to have more inches of material than the actual socks I received. The socks I received have less than an inch a black material above the checkered material. I would recommend them to some, but buyer beware if you are approx 5'10" or taller.

What good are compression socks if you cannot get them on your feet and legs? I have lost weight, and even now, I cannot get these Extra Large sized socks on my feet without ripping them. I ripped 2 or 3 pair already. And if you do not get them on your feet smoothly, they mangle your feet, leaving deep depressions in your feet and ankles and legs, and messing your circulation up worse. Sure, if you spend 10-15 minutes every morning, and get to work late, you might get these on your feet. Then yes, they will work. I was floored by the positive reviews. This product is a real pain in the neck, and it is made way too small to my feet, even after I lost weight. Don't buy these.

These socks are the best. They are good quality for sure. I did not want anything to do with compression socks. Edema forced me in to them. Seeing how my friend had to have her varicose veins surgically removed made me realize how important it is to take better care of what mother nature has given me. I wish they came in more colors but It is not that important because after all, they are a cotton blend (not just nylon ewwww!) and I can wear my dress shoes comfortably again. I have some other crazy multicolored ones but I must say that these are my favorite.

These socks work with the idea in mind that athletes should be without limits, and these socks help curb the usual limits, such as injury and long recovery time. These socks are the best of the best. They are really worth of the money. These are the best at reducing pain and swelling, preventing shin splints, and promoting faster recovery. They also help me now during my pregnancy. It seems as if he wears thicker sicks with his work boots that his gout is worse. These are a little lighter so maybe they will do him some good. He's worn them a few times now but currently isn't under attack. They do fit well.

I have water retention in the legs, feet,ankles and have a hard time buying compression socks that work. So I saw these and decided to try them. Well I really love them! they fit well, they really are the best socks I have come across in years. I should also add that I live in the Midwest and winters get very cold, most compression socks are thin and extra socks are needed. These are thicker, stylish, keep feet warm. They do not look like compression socks! I'm going to be buying more of these.

I didn't realize that this was the large size, but because of the compression it still worked fine for me (women's 7.5, men's 5.5). They're still a little difficult to get on and off, and I still get a decent amount of compression for what I need (avoiding shin splints). I can tell they're meant for someone bigger than me based on the sock patterns (ie the heel design is at my lower calf) but it really doesn't bother me. Great quality!

i like the quality and the ease to put on, the only cons i have found is that where the zipper is there should be like a shield protecting the leg because it digs into the skin creating pain when the swelling is moderate.

I would give 4.5 stars. My husband said they fit well except the very top band. It was a little tight and caused a pressure mark that took some time to disappear. However, he felt instantly felt better on his feet at work from his first wearing alone so they were worth the price. He does prefer other brands where the fabric is more spandex like.
