I already had an 1800 watt inductive cookplate, but it didn't get hot enough to fry zucchini and peppers. This was quite a bit more expensive than the 1800 watt cookplates, and I had to install a 220 volt outlet to use it, but it was worth it.This cookplate easily gets hot enough to fry things, and seems to have good heat distribution.The only downside to the cookplate is that it has only a few selections for temperature. So now we have to switch off between this cookplate for lots of heat and the 1800 watt one. The 1800 watt cookplate has good temperature variations between 180 and 250 degrees.

We received the first unit and it looked in perfect condition, no damage to box or packing. Plugged in and immediate short circuit. upon inspection saw all the attachment points on bottom were broken loose from the base ( See the pictures). requested return and got immediate approval and quick shipping of replacement. Just got the new unit, no damage to packaging but naturally I looked at the bottom and the exact same damage! didn't even finish unwrapping it. I'm sure if it's not broken it's a fine unit but after 2 in a row I can't see trying this unit again. Packaging seems to be good but they're apparently being handled incorrectly somewhere along the way.
