Comes with Connectors and a Phone App
Its easy to install and the light can be intense so choose wisely where you place them. I was going to put it in my camper, but it was too sharp of a light against a white ceiling, so I moved it under my upper kitchen counter cabinets to light the counter top inside my house. Tip, before installing it, use short strip of a narrow masking tape, and tape it where you want to use it. Test it. If you do not like the location or need to make adjustments, it is easy to lift the masking tape to move or adjust. Then when you are satisfied, remove one strip of masking tape from the end, peel about 6 inches of the blue tape backer on the light strip and start sticking the light strip. As you work you way along the strip, remove the masking tape a piece and a time and continue to pull the blue backer out pressing the light strip against the surface you are adhering it to. (if the surface may be oily, I recommend wiping the area down with rubbing alcohol to insure a good bond so you don't find your light strip on the floor the next morning.)Cutting the light strip to fit a location or to turn - there are cut marks every 3 lights. this is the only place you can cut it without damaging the light strip. The connectors - Work well. Its nice to be able to turn a corner. Tip. When adding the connectors do not remove the blue tape backer all the way to the end. leave a little piece on the light strip. (1/4 inch or so). This prevents the double sided tape from fighting agains sliding the light strip into the connector. Also go to Walmart and buy a small role of double sided foam tape that is the width of the connects. the double sided tape strips that came with the kit are very thin and probably will not hold the connectors securely. The back of the connectors are not perfectly flat so a double sided foam tape provide much better results in securing the connecters to the surface. Also, when you slide the connectors onto the light strip, make sure it is correct. At the cut lines you will see +12V, R, B, G. If you put a segment of lights into the light strip backwards you are applying 12v to the color line which power it backward. A LED will not light if plugged in backwards. If you have a section after a connection that is not lighting, even if other sections after the un-lit work, you more then likely connected it backwards. If the +12V is on the inside of the corner on one side, it must be on the inside leaving the connector as well. if not, it will not work. The remote works well. It is Infrared, so it is direct line of sight only. I have another light strip, and it's remote has more color options on the remote, in addition allows you to set custom colors where this one only has the 16 color presets with 5 modes. But then, this light strip also has a phone app where you can set custom colors and/or the brightness of the light.Over all seems to be a good set. Its been running for a few days now, running 12+ hours a day. So we will see how its longevity is.

What a great concept! I'm obsessed with these lights now!
The media could not be loaded. If it were up to me, there would only be string light lighting in my apartment. Over the past couple of years, I lived on 2 string lights and one floor lamp that is very dull. and 2 string lights on my balcony. Not a big fan of bright light! So when I had to start studying and reading at night, I had to geta couple of desk lamps that I only turn on for that purpose. That said, I've been on the lookout for some string lights, and these checked off all the right boxes for me!Pros:The color is adjustable according to the mood or design! The brightness is adjustable according to the ambiance! You can choose the mode, yourself! Whether you want it stable, flash or strobe. I get migraines from the last two, so I always need a stable light. My existing string lights have these options except that in most occasions, when I turn them on, they "choose" the mode they want, and it's often an interchangeable all-in-one mode where it starts flashing and probing at different speeds. So I have to go and reset them to the stable lighting mode, and if I'm lucky, that happens before I get a migraine. It gets really exhausting to have the lights do what I want without having to adjust them manually most of the time, so I was really deliberate about getting something that a) is more obedient, in that it doesn't change modes on its own, b) with a remote control, so I don't have to go to the light and fix it, and c) with a phone app, so if I lost the remote, which - let's just be honest, will happen, I can still use my phone to adjust the lighting. So whatever mode you choose for these lights, it sticks with it even when you turn it on the next day.Apparently, you can have a music mode, a sports mode, and a microphone mode. And even I found that hilarious! You speak to your phone, and the lighting changes as you say different words! It has a phone app, as I mentioned above, and it's called "MagicStrip", I'm showing a screenshot from the app. I find the app much more encompassing and effective than the remote control. You can tape their end on pretty much most surfaces.Cons:I messed up the first part, I pulled the double tape along with the blue strip covering the adhesive part, and tried to tape it to the wall, and of course, it didn't tape. It wasn't until I realized how sticky the garbage pile was that I realized I messed up. It seems like it's easy to pull both from the light strip, so be very careful not to do that! Make sure you're only pulling the blue strip and not the white double adhesive tape along with it.I love the lights, I love the versatility and how you can control them, but you are limited in the design. I would have loved to do a circle, for example, and even the design I ended up doing, which required angles, can be risky, but if you know you're getting it for a flat surface and don't intend to be too creative, then that should be perfect. I also think you can get creative with this, but you have to be confident enough to cut and put pieces together, something I'm not very good at!These are absolutely great! I've been using them consistently and playing around with the lighting for a couple of days and I could not be happier. I love being able to control every aspect of them. Highly recommended!
