The Land Cruiser Legend: Toyota's Cult Four Wheelers - All Models and Series, from 1951 to the Present Hardcover – January 16, 2013

Wow! This is a really good book written by a guy who actually cares about Land Cruisers as much as I do, yet still has a sense of humor. The writing is informative and really well researched but amusing at the same time...it's not just a load of dry specifications; it includes stories and anecdotes as well as hard facts. Lots of large, quality color photos. Highly recommend this to Cruiser heads.

The book is a great work of history and compilation of the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser. The iconography is broad, extensive and detailed with some photos of the prototypes not seen very often. The details in each of the LC series is very good showing the variations in particular series 40 and 70, the most prolific.The only model missing in review was the FJ Cruiser given the European origin of the book, only a brief note in one page detail it. Also some more pictures of utilitarian models, often seen in third world countries, working for utility companies, ambulances, and petroleum exploration could be a significant addition to the home sport utility face of the LC.

I own a 1962 FJ40, and I'm always looking for information on these early Land Cruisers and find very little. This book covers the entire line of Land Cruisers and thoroughly covers its development and early history. I highly recommend it.

This book is a definite must have for all you Land Cruiser enthusiasts! The book is definitely well written and it features all the specifications for all this models series.

I bought this for my dads fathers day gift. He is a huge Toyota Land Cruiser guy, and is very knowledgable. Even for a guy that knows a lot about the history of land cruisers, he was shocked about the information and content in this book. And best of all, a land cruiser in his collection is in the book! The poster included is a must have for any land cruiser enthusiast.

I have been involved with off-road driving for as long as I can remember and there was always a Landcruiser in there somewhere. Alexander Wohlfarth has written a masterpiece. My only "criticism" if I can call it that, is that I cant read this book slowly enough (!!!) by this I mean I want it to last but I am ejoying it so much its hard to put down.

Covers all of the TLC models and has excellent history and good photos. Would like more depth on the FJ40's but that's my interest.

Even though I don’t own a Land Cruiser, I would love own one someday. This book’s value is in having virtually all information about Toyota Land Cruisers in one resource. I’ve read it from cover to cover. It is very well written, engaging and full of details without being dry.
