Reading Level AR 3.6 - 2nd grader & up?
I was thinking this would be in line with Young Cam Jansen (AR 2.5 - 2.8), but it is a harder first chapter book. I love that there are pictures every 4 pages. There are some harder words like fjord. I haven't read Junie B Jones (AR 2.8 - 3.0) or the regular Cam Jansen's books, but I would think it is a bit harder than those according to the Scholastic site. It may be around a guided reading level M - R like Magic Tree House (AR 2.6 - 4). Anyone else have a guess? On Scholastic's website, it rates it as AR 3.6, so they think it is for kids who are in third grade. So overall, I am disappointed since I was seeking a true first chapter book for my daughter. She likes it and struggles with about 6 words per page. I would've liked something she could've felt more comfortable reading by herself after reading it over with me one time.

Frozen and reading - good combo!
We love Frozen! A nice book to encourage your young reader from a favorite movie. Mine is 2nd grade, and this is pretty easy for her - she read it in one afternoon/evening combo - maybe 2 hours tops. My older daughter and I also read it. While not a child's picture book, there are illustrations - black and white sketches - they are very good. The story is a retelling of the movie - even incorporating the songs - you will recognize where they are placed as part of dialogue and moving the story along (we thought that was neat). All in all a nice book for a young, reading, Frozen lover!

Frozen told from Anna's perspective.
Simplified and modified version of the movie as seen entirely from Anna's perspective, as such, some scenes are left out when Anna's wasn't present. On the other hand, you get to know more details about how Anna felt and/or perceived throughout the book and also the book does fill in some details about the plot in which they weren't portrayed in the movie.Bought as a gift for my my 6 year old niece and she likes it.

Great story for kids
My daughters love the movie Frozen so of course they have to have the books too. There is a great message in the movie and book, don't be afraid to be yourself, accidents happen and you can't let the guilt forever because it will hurt you and the ones that love you. Disney is awesome! Thank you Disney for always making such family friendly and inspirational movies and products.

It's not bad at all
This one is about a section of the original story. It's not bad at all. My divergent point is that it's for older children not toddlers who will listen but kids who can already read and love this story. A lot of narration few illustrations.

Definitely recommended
My daughter Kate and I loved reading this book out loud. It worked nicely as a Reader's Theater between the two of us. Anna's voice and storytelling was more personalized than the movie and we had more insight into her character. The pencil drawings are very good and were a nice complement to the story. Looking forward to more chapter books by this author!

Chapter Frozen book
If your daughter likes Frozen and is a beginner (2nd grade & up) reader, this would be a great gift. My 8 year old really enjoyed it!
