NINE CIF Neck Brace Support Pillows Foam Cervical Collar (Small, Black-White)

I bought this collar which I now wear against the traditional white type of collar, depending on my needs for that day. Where the white type tends to give you a more gentler support, this black collar gives a firmer support. It seems ideal for the days where you absolutely don't want to be moving your neck.Please note that I have rather a long, slim neck and the sponge just meets at the back (which I prefer as I find it provides more support and comfort all the way round). My neck measures approx. 36-37cm and I find this Regular size perfect, therefore, if your neck is any bigger, you will likely have to release more of the Velcro or get the next size up.I do find that the collar sits rather higher than I am used to with the more squidgier white ones. This means that I can't wear it for many hours yet but I'm allowing for me getting acclimatised to it or perhaps it softening a little over time.Overall, a very well made collar that excels in giving more stricter support (and not forgetting, it also hides the dirt pretty well too!).

After months of severe reoccurring neck ache, I decided to try a collar. With age related degeneration of some discs in my neck, I was fairly sure the pain was being exacerbated by my posture/neck position. This definitely provided relief after 2/3 days of wear and I am now well on the way to being pain free. I researched extensively and settled on this one as it seemed value for money, was black and not overly bulky. It is also very well made.

Bought for my mother who lives it, she's so pleased with the colour instead of the usual white ones! Also good quality, would be good if they did different sizes.

Updated review: I received this brace on 26th July 2018 and by start of September the centre of the inner foam (under my chin area) has completely split downwards, so the brace is now internally split into two parts and is useless. Apparently the ‘window’ to return expired on 27th August. Utter rubbish. Unfit for purpose and Amazon and its seller wriggle out of their legal obligations. I am going to contest.Original review was: I’m only a small 5’1” woman weighing under 112lb and find this perfectly comfortable to wear; well as far as wearing one of these can be. I don’t have a neck like a giraffe and have a fairly normal neck length, and don’t find the height too much. Perhaps if I carried more weight under my chin it could feel less comfortable? I should add that whilst this neck brace is very comfortable to wear whilst your head is at its normal upright position, if you’re wearing it to look down for any period of time - like to read fir a while - yes, it will dig in under your chin. But this is its job! It’s there, in my case at any rate, to prevent me from moving my neck into certain undesirable positions whilst my condition is healing, and the density of this brace does it’s job.As it is on me, I find the height and degree of support it provides ideal, and the velcro straps allow me to adjust it to fit sufficiently snuggly around my 12” circumference neck. For someone with a much larger neck circumference there is plenty of extra velcro length for adjustment.I like the colour and have a stock of 3 of these which I keep for when I’m going out. The cheaper plain white versions just look to ‘medicinal’ and quckly become the colour of the grate if you’re a person who wears make up or tinted moisturiser, or are inclined to be clumbsy when drinking!

I bought this to support my neck while driving/ watching tv after rupturing a disc/ trapping a nerve in my neck.It was performing brilliantly for about 2 weeks use (4 or 5 hours a day) before the inner foam started to split under my chin.

I have Spondylosis of the neck and spine. I've had many different versions of this type of product from different suppliers - but this one takes first prize, it's durable,well made and always looks fresh - unlike the white ones which look really dirty when it has only been worn once!! The fit, adjustment and support is just right for me (never had that before). Overall brilliant product 10 out of 10. Thank you.
