## Description

The Scanpan HAPTIQ Saute Pan is a premium 5-layer design with polished stainless steel exterior, aluminum core and an advanced STRATANIUM+ nonstick cooking surface. HAPTIQ is very even-heating, and it exhibits a great balance of speed and heat retention. STRATANIUM+ is Scanpan's most durable surface yet. It is metal utensil safe and PFOA free. Compatible with all stove types and oven safe to 500 degrees F. Scanpan HAPTIQ cookware is made in Denmark and includes a manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

Review: Outstanding Chefs pan - This is a non-stick pan large enough and with high enough sides to allow searing fish fillets or steaks without using its glass top. Very little splatter ends up on the stove and it does a prrtty good job with the sear. Maybe not quite as perfect as cast iron, but still very good. The pan conducts heat very well. I turn on high to start. Put in meat or fish and reduce to medium-high to sear first side. Turn down to medium and turn over food to sear second side. Turn down to medium-low or can put in oven to finish. Small well designed handles shed heat well and allow pan to fit in our oven. Note I usually rub the meat or fish with olive oil, not the pan. I can saute entire bag of mushrooms without crowding. Start with dry pan on high heat to drive out moisture, turning frequently. After a few minutes, you can add wine or garlic with oil and cook down. Perfect every time. This pan has their outstanding commercial finish inside. We have this same finish on 2 Scanpan fry pans for 8 months. Seems to hold up well so far. Just wash in soapy water and wipe dry with a paper towel while still just warm. Easy-peasy. I Would never put non-stick in dishwasher or use metal tools no matter what mfgr says. The top is tempered glass with 2 small vent holes. Works well. Pan is also good for pasta sauces. Unlike stainless steel and cast iron, and aluminum, the inside finish does not chemically react with tomato paste. I love this pan.

**Q: Indication compatible? Thanks!**
A: I cannot test this, but the Williams Sonoma site says that Haptiq pans are compatible with induction cooktops.

**Q: What’s the lid measurements?**
A: It’s tough to measure, but roughtly 13” wide by 3 and ¾” tall.  It fits the Haptiq 13” frying pan as well as this pan.

**Q: What is the exact measurement of the lid and will the lid fit the scanpan ctx 12-3/4-inch wok?**
A: The inside measurement from rim to rim is 12 inches. The outside measurement rim to rim is 13 inches. It would probably fit the other pan (which I do not own) but may not seal tightly.

**Q: What does it weigh?**
A: My luggage scale may not be scientific, but weighed the pan at 4.6 lbs, the lid at 2.7lbs.

### ⭐ Garbage

I cannot emphasize enough how much these pots and pans are garbage and their customer service is even worst. They break down and you will have black particles floating in your food. I spent over $1500 on multiple pieces and have been slowly but surely throwing them in the trash. I am now using Hexclad, which is 10 times than this trash.
