what is the % in this moly?

It has 65% in it there is one that Honda makes and they say it has 60% but after doing some research it turns out it only has 35% so the loctite is far the better product as I was looking on a Triumph Rocket 3 forum and they were very happy with loctite that is where I seen the info on the Honda moly I think they were talking about how good it was in the spider gear out side the final shaft drive on the Rocket 3 hope this helps you have a great day.

Is this used for on cylinder walls and piston for braking in the rings and the walls?

I don't know. I use this for the splines in the final drive of my honda ST1300. I would worry that the moly paste would alter the oil and ruin the rest of the bearings. One thing, initially you want some friction in the cylinders so the rings actually seat uniformly. If they don't seat right your oil consumption will stay high.

Does this come in a smaller size? i found loctite 51609 lb8009 1oz and i'm wondering if it's the same as this? can anyone confirm?

Take note that the 51048 Lb 8012 (8 oz) has Molybdenum as a primary additive, while the 51609 Lb 8009 has Graphite as the primary additive. The temperature ranges are also different. All this to say that you must choose according to the intended use.
