Shooting Rest

Over the last 5 years this YPOD has helped steady my shot while taking game in many ladder stands or any other situation where the shooting rail is to low. The rubber strap has held up fine so far but can be replaced with a rubber band if needeed.

I am so happy I decided to try this out. I am a woman hunter and hunt muzzleloader with a heavy gun and I much prefer to take a shot in front of me using the shooting rail. This equipment has expanded my range of taking a sure shot significantly. When in the stand I leave it attached to my gun just in front of the first latch of my strap which gives the ypod a secure fit. If you are on the fence just try it. The other nice thing about it is that it is so light that if you decide to take a shot without using it while it's still attached you won't notice the weight. The only thing is you have to remember it's there or you may knock into it.

I wish I had gotten this sooner. It helps position my gun, in such a way that I can keep movement to a minimum. I use mine in a hunting stand, tripod, to be exact. I haven't done it yet, but, there are several ways one could secure it to a arm of your stand. Duct tape, various types of pipe clamps, are a few ways. I mention this, because I noticed other reviews had questions. Secured, or not, I consider this a great asset, when hunting.

This thing is a must, especially for tree stands that have poor design shooting rails. I liked how the Ypod has a rubber strap that quickly secures to the rifle. I would have given it 5 stars but the rubber strap should be better secured at least on one end to prevent losing it (like I Did). But it’s a great item to help with cheap designed deer stands.

This rest makes a rock solid shooting platform for any rifle when shooting from a deer stand. You can rotate and angle the gun in almost any position while still having a steady shot. I do wish the rubber strap was perminantly mounted on one side because it has a tendency to come off when not strapped around gun. Overall a great product and quiet operation in the woods! Highly recommend!

I actually really like the concept behind this rest. It secures to my Savage Trophyhunter .270 fine. It's well made and light weight. But when rested on my open tree stand position, I pivot my rifle left or right to get on the target as the deer enter my line of site. The problem I have with this unit is it squeeks loudly when the screw pivots any amount. If you try to adjust the height up or down with the screw, it is too loud to do without giving away your position. I wish it wasn't so loud and may try some silicon grease on the threads and see if that helps.

Bought for my daughter to use deer hunting out of a ladder stand with shooting rails. Works great and she likes it.
