Kwik Release V2 (Receiver Only),

I've bought two of these for my video recording rigs. I really love them both. I'm using all Arca-compatible pieces on all my gear; my camera has a long Arca-Swiss plate on the bottom. One of these receivers is on my Glidecam, and one is on my teleprompter. It was necessary to use the Kessler for these instead of less-expensive Sunways (or similar) because this is the only receiver I can find that doesn't have a knob on the side. Both the Glidecam and the teleprompter have flat plates that preclude using any receiver with a knob. Both of these Kessler receivers have mounted on the plates solidly and easily with the hardware provided. And my camera mounts and locks in them lightning fast, and is held in place securely. Even on the Glidecam there's no movement whatsoever on this thing. They are heavy duty and built to last. The price initially made me balk, but both units have been well worth every penny.

I got a few of these. Being able to quickly go from gimbal, to slider, to tripod in seconds changes the way you work. These are built incredibly well, American made, with top notch customer service. I've been buying products for a long time from this company and they do not disappoint. Worth every penny.

I received a V1 kwik release receiver. Plus, it was obviously a used product since it had a lot of scratches at the bottom of the plate. Unfortunately, this receiver only works for slimmer arca swiss plates, and I don’t have any that would fit in it.

Very well made, sturdy design. Lots of uses for this, but I use it to adapt a Sachtler video head to my still photography (Arca Swiss) mounting plates.

This baby does exactly what you would expect and I am certain any camera once the lever is locked won't move a millimeter. So impressed I bought another one. The price is a little lofty though.

The media could not be loaded. The quality of this receiver is first rate, unfortunately it doesn't work work with all Arca Swiss plates. I have several quality plates that work fine in my ball head but not with this receiver. I contacted the manufacturer and was informed there is no way to adjust the tension on the receiver. Very disappointing.5* on construction1* on compatibilityBe forewarned, you will be happy if you use their expensive plates; otherwise, other quality branded plates might not work. Here is the response i received from customer support:"Unfortunately, due to differences in manufacturing tolerances from plate manufacturers, this does mean that there are some arca swiss style plates that will not be compatible with the Kwik Release."

Plate that attaches to camera is only 1 ½ inches wide so when you go hand held and you place camera down it wants to tipother than that it's a great quick release, don't know of any better options. Well made,goes on and off quick.
