One review said plastic** A: Plastic . cardboard wouldn’t last when u are handling a lot. I’ve used mine loads and they r as new still as I store in box when not in use . I’ve also bought several for presents and always been much appreciated & used lots . **Q: Can the trays be stacked when they have puzzle pieces in. This would be helpful if ot completing the puzzle in one go.** A: Yes they can but obviously only a certain amount of pieces can go in each tray.
