It varies a bit but I'd say it averages about 1/4 inch. I'm using it for drainage for my houseplants and I am putting two cut circles at the bottom of each pot. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Q: Ordered April 20, as of June 9 still have not received. How long does it take to get this?

I ordered and there was a delay, I believe it comes from China, USPS is backed up so check your tracking number to see where it it.

Q: can this be used for microgreens?

Yes, it can, but keep looking I bought this item and it is not as described when I received my purchase it was not in a rolled product as pictured but folded piece. I would have prefered it in a roll. This what is generally used to grow microgreens without using soil.

Q: Can this be used in aquariums under soil to help root aquatic plants?

I have not tried using it, but you should check with an aquarium store that sells aquatic plants, because it may affect the ph levels in your water or balance, not sure if the manuf. of the product would have any type of chemicals used on it?
