Would not recommend.
I came to this book already have a very small amount of Tunisian Arabic (TA) vocabulary. The author uses a transliteration system to write all the TA in latin script, but what he uses is different from the spellings already in use by people who speak this language when they do stuff like text or comment on facebook or youtube. This means that you can't really apply your new knowledge from this book to real life because you have to learn the spellings as actually used by speakers of TA first. There are several places in the book where words are introduced and no English translations are provided. At all, one example is when he introduces, in the format of an exercise, all the personal pronouns except nothing indicates that these are the personal pronouns and no translation is provided so you know what they mean. There are pieces of text written in the author's translitterated version of TA with no accompanying English paragraph and there are some actual errors, for example one place were translation is provided, the TA word for tomato is given as batata, but that actually means potato, and the word for tomato is tmatem.I returned my book and I do not recommend it. Instead, if you really want to learn, check out http://www.apprendreletunisien.com. The site is in french, but click on the Traductions at the top of the page and it'll take you to tons of vocabulary and are also translated into English. Note that there are some errors. Also there is a series of Youtube videos called Leรงons Tunisien, again in French, but the person who made them pronounces all the TA words she gives and with some help from Google translate you can figure out some basic grammar with less effort than using this book. The whole book feels like it was put together in a really rushed and somewhat absent minded way. I even had a Tunisian Friend look at it with me and he agreed that the book is not worth it.

Not Recommended for non-arabic speakers
I hoped this book would help me in translating some Tunisian Arabic text. While it showed promise the book seemed incomplete. For instance, there is a list of consonants and vowels, but this list is not comprehensive. It gives many of the Arabic letters and relates them to Roman characters for English speakers to easily understand, but not all the letters. The Roman character "7" is used in many words, but it was not listed anywhere for you to know what it stands for or sounds like. The book feels cheap too, low quality printing. It is over-priced at $10, I would say it is worth $5 if you have some experience with Arabic.I asked to return it and Amazon gave me a refund without having to ship the book back. As always, their customer service lacks nothing.
