Great gift. Can encourage active play.
This is one of the best gifts we purchased for Christmas. It was gifted to my almost 3 year old and once he figured it out (which did not take long) him and his older brother who is 5 had a blast!Watching it fix on its own is pretty neat. He has fun phrases. The button acts as a "health bar" and will still run if it isn't red.Husband enjoyed it as well. He was sitting on the ground and sending it towards the boys who would jump out of the way allowing Duke to hit the wall.It seems like it would actually break easily especially in "broken" mode, but it holds up pretty well. When in "broken" form you can see some wires inside that could potentially be yanked loose if you had a child who likes to check things out a little too closely. As long as your child respects toys and use them as they're suppose to I wouldn't see any issue.I will update after some time and use. So far definitely a 5 star toy for appropriate ages.Edit 12/27/19After two days of use he is asking for his batteries to be changed. I wish he had a rechargable battery pack. Going to see how long he runs on a decent set of rechargable batteries.

Awesome toy
While this is kind of a pricy toy at $50, it is WELL worth the money. My 3-year old loves it and gets a huge kick out of playing with him. You can rev him up and watch him slam into things while “falling apart” and then with a push of a button, he fixes himself. His sayings are hilarious too and after you fix him, if you don’t touch him for about 20 seconds he falls asleep and snores and this cracks my son up. It says very specifically in the instructions to only lift or move him by the red rev handle and not to fix him yourself and only to hit the repair button but of course, my 3 year old does the opposite sometimes but the truck is still working perfectly fine. I am so glad we got this he asks to play with “demo duke” all the time.

Grandson loves it
Great Christmas gift for my 3 year old grandson. He revs it up and gets so excited when it takes off, then crashes. His one year old sister likes to go after it when it's cruising across the floor. Alot of fun

My sons new favorite toy
I have a toddler and he LOVES this. His grandma had one and he talked about it so much we got one for our house too. He runs around the house saying crash! It’s surprisingly durable for a mechanical toy. It’s crashed about a hundred times and still reassembles itself. Sometimes it gets a little hooked but rarely. I am so impressed. The only toy it’s okay to break. Also, when it crashes, it has this little thing that shows like underpants at the back. Hilarious.

What I expected
Nephew loved this truck. Best toy vehicle that moves for kids who can't operate rc vehicles yet.

Duke is a boss
I bought two of these and gave each one to a different nephew. They are ages 3 and 5. They absolutely love them. The immediately started running Duke into everything. It seems very durable and so far they have survived about a month with no damage despite a daily use.I appreciate that Duke has a lot of different phrases, it helps keep them from getting repetitive and being able to switch between English and French helps even more. The boys really like the fart and burp sounds and will laugh for an inordinately long time.I would have loved to have this as a kid and I am glad it exists now for the kids in my life.

Best toy for 2019
I bought two for two grandsons for xmas, ages 2 and 3. I opened it and put batteries in them both to test them out before wrapping them as gifts. I had so much fun playing with them myself and could imagine how much fun the boys will have. They will love that they crash and can put them back together. Has the ability to turn down the voice or mute. This is by far my favorite toy for 2019. Also waited for the price to go down to $39.88 from $49.99. I was wavering on paying full price, but jumped on the sale price.
