My 6 year old son has been using these for a bit now and his handwriting has improved significantly. I bought a pack of eraser tops to put on the end of these and it made them perfect.

The lead is way too light & I can't see what my kids have written. These need softer lead to be usable for my kids. It's too bad because these are the pencils my first grade student reaches for. He is a lefty & in first grade. My other kiddo who uses them is in 3rd grade & a righty.Well, now I see that they have newer ones with erasers that are supposed to be darker. I'm going to give them a shot and I'll update my review if I can see my kids' writing.Update!The new pencils do write darker! The kids don't always necessarily put enough pressure to make a huge difference, but it definitely helps. These are still their go to pencils. I wish there were good eraser caps to purchase separately that fit the bigger pencils. That would be preferable to the new built in ones, in my opinion. (As you can see, Overall the updated pencils are better than the originals.

I loved these pencils for my son. It's fit his hand perfect. The lead his dark and he writing much better and his handwriting improved a lot. The only downside is there no eraser on the pencil. Overall great pencils for kids!

I am in love with these pencils. I bought them for my 2 kids who are in elementary school. It helped improve my youngest child penmanship and it allowed me to add a grip or weight for more OT for my older child.

My 7 year old has very messy handwriting. We're in the process of trying out a couple of things to help her out. These pencils are helping!
