Axon Optics AEROLIGHT - Migraine Glasses, Relief for Light Sensitivity, Photophobia, Fluorescent Lights (Outdoor)

The lenses are so dark that they are difficult to see out of. I am pretty light sensitive, especially outdoors, and my eye doctor suggested using this type of lens to help with my migraines. Unfortunately, I couldn't wear them because it was too dark for me to see things clearly. I guess I should have gotten the indoor lenses. I am giving them 3 stars only because if you like dark sunglasses they seem nice enough.

I am struggling with these sunglasses they just do not seem dark enough but I'm going to give them one more week!

I had my very first migraine a couple of weeks ago, and it lasted for a glorious 2 weeks. My head didn't hurt as much as my eyes did. The photophobia was completely intolerable. I've still got lingering photophobia as I'm typing this! Convinced it's a side effect from a medication I was starting.....I digress. These sunglasses make driving so much easier. I can actually open my eyes sans squinting. Who'd a thunk it?? They are super comfy, and the case is beautiful. They don't look freaky like those other sunglasses with green lenses. If you're reading this right now you're probably desperate for something to relieve your eyes from your migraine. I swear these will help you. The price made me gasp at first because I've never spent more than $15 on sunglasses!!! I know, I fail at life in the fashion department. So sue me. Despite the fact that these weren't for fashionable reasons, I do find them to be classy. The only thing I will mention negatively is that when you are first adjusting to them, everything will look green once you've taken them off. Better than a headache I reckon, yeah? ANYWAYS. Buy these godforsaken sunglasses. You won't regret it!!

These have a major design flaw. They are meant for people with light sensitivity and migraines, but the metal screws and hardware inside the arms make reflections on the lenses that make them very difficult to look through.

This is my second pair of sunglasses from this company and I can't live without them. I have extreme photosensitivity and these are a godsend. Just slip them on and your eyes immediately relax, so much less strain on the eyes. Whatever color filter they use works!!! I now have one for the car and one for my purse. My physician also wrote me a letter of medical necessity so I can write these as a medical expense. Best thing I ever bought for my eyes in the car besides tinting my car windows. I can't describe the different light situations that these help me with. But then can't think of one situation that they don't work. Thanks Axon!

I now have prescription lenses (with bifocals.. Will get to that later) in Transitions...with anti-smudge, glare, anti-all things bad that I can get... with indoor 40% FL-41 coating... And ALL of this in the coolest cat eye frame ever, to make MY superhuman glasses! Not only can I now see more than a foot away, I can now see close up. I do not consider bifocals as a sign of getting old, I think of it as being able to see in every direction, near and far, adding on to my new "skills"...Like reading warning labels on things (important), typing on phones all the time, making jewelry with tiny beads etc., ALL while I'm not being blinded by the computer screen, the jeweler's lamp, the sun and everything on the planet. This is my second pair of Axon glasses. When I found out I needed a prescription now TOO, I knew I would HAVE to send them in to Axon for the magic FL-41 tint that also filters out UV light and the rest of annoying light and things that make me unhappy causing headaches and Benign Essential Blepharospasm to be worse. Axon allowed me, with all of their options, to send in my own frame and get the ultimate medically beneficial and coolest looking eyewear in the universe! I get told every where I go, "I love your shades!.... They're...pink! (the lenses).. Like in your hair!" They are a lot more than just "pink", they help me conquer the evil in my eye world. Near, far, inside, outside, blepharospasm, head pain, eye pain... All at once. Thank you for the second time and for knowing how to make my daily life better in many ways. This have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I suffered from migraines at work (fluorescent lighting), on the computer, and on really sunny days. Since getting these my migraines have pretty much become non-existent and I feel so much better because I don't have to take pharmaceutical pills anymore. Highly highly recommend.
