Refined Cycle FC9-Forward Controls for Yamaha V-max 1200

This kit is a very nice bolt on kit, makes the riding position much more comfortable if you have a lowered seat. I would’ve given it 5 stars but there were two things that I feel should’ve been implemented. First, the brake and shift linkage rods are right hand thread on both ends. It would make adjustments much easier if one end was left hand thread and then include jamnuts. Second, and this is a little nit picky, but there is a mix between metric and SAE threads/fasteners used. That was a little annoying, but by no means does it take away from the function of the controls. In short, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for forward controls on their Gen 1 V-Max.

These did not fit cleanly on my husband's vtx. Yes to do the kit did not shift and pegs were very loose. Followed there internet directions perfectly took bike to Honda dealership and they said this kit was poorly made and although it was somewhat cheaper than one made by other vendors it showed in the way shift assembly was put together. Other kits use a new shift linkage instead of adding an extra machine bolt to the stock assembly. Staying with stock system. Only giving 1 star because cannot give a negative.

I have another bike with forward controls and riding my VMax seemed very cramped.Installation took a couple of hours and may have to adjust and add thread lock but the outcome was vastly improved foot locations. The quality is very nice and I ordered additional foot pegs from them. So far over a year in they work and look great.
