First I loved 'em. Now, they're going back to Amazon.
UPDATE ON 5/5/12: After less than 90 days of use, these cups are falling apart with normal usage and washing in the dishwasher. First, the glue that holds the cups together and prevents water from getting between the walls of the cup is failing. Several of the cups routinely come out of the dishwasher with water between the walls of the cup. Second, the rubber ring inside the lid that allows the cup to seal tightly and prevents leakage is coming loose. Several of the lids now come out of the dishwasher with food underneath the rubber rings. I have even removed the rubber rings to clean under them. Once these rings are no longer tightly secured to the lids, the problem of food debris getting under the rings will continue. In summary, though these cups appeared to be great when I first bought them, they have gone from 5 stars to 1 star in less than 90 days. Unless you plan to gently hand wash them (who has time for that?!?), I would suggest looking for a different cup.ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:I stumbled upon some really nice double-walled tumblers with lids and straws at Target a couple of weeks ago. At a price of $14 EACH, I thought for sure I would find a better deal on Amazon. Sure enough, I found this 2-pack for almost half the price. Still, I wasn't sure I had found a deal until they arrived and we had a chance to put them to the test with our 3-year-old son, who has outgrown sippy cups. He loves using a straw, and we like the peace of mind from having a lid over the top of his glass. Here is a summary of my thoughts:POSITIVES- VALUE: Similar cups at Target sell for twice the price, and you get only 1. In other words, for the price of 1 cup at Target, you could buy about 4 on Amazon. Amazing.- QUALITY: We have been extremely pleased with these since they arrived, and we have washed and used them multiple times. The lids are secure and not easy to remove, even for a curious 3-year-old who likes to take everything apart. He has managed to knock over the glass on his table a couple of times, and the lid stayed securely attached, with only a few drops of liquid escaping through the straw hole.- SAFE: The cups are BPA free, which was a key requirement for us, as we plan to use them for our kids. In addition, they are made of rigid plastic that should hold up well, even if dropped.- DURABILITY: I am convinced that these cups will last. Everything in our household get put to the test, as we have 3 kids age 3 and younger. The construction of these cups is solid. Though the kids have not dropped one yet, I am not concerned about them. They have a great, strong feel to them. They don't feel cheap at all.- COMPATIBLE WITH REGULAR STRAWS: My 3-year-old son loves to use straws, but we are not fans of reusable straws, as they require awkward washing, and we never feel that they get clean. Therefore, we use disposable straws, and these cups work perfectly with them. The straw hole is small, but not too small for a standard straw. Also, the glasses are not so tall that a straw can fall down below the lid.NEGATIVES- INCLUDED STRAW: My wife and I are not fans of reusable straws, given the difficulty in keeping them clean. The straws that come with these cups are OK, but the small hole would make cleaning them about impossible. We don't plan to use the included straws.- PLAIN CLEAR ONLY: It would be fun to have other colors or some design or style to these cups. They are pretty plain, but this is a minor complaint. They are nice, crystal-clear cups--plain and simple as that might be.Since we have had such a great experience with the first 2 cups, I am back to buy more. This is one of the best values I have found in a long time.

Very poor quality and durability
**********Edit: 2013-OCT-01After just a few weeks of use these cups they broke. A drop from just a few feet onto a hard surface will pretty much ruin these cups - the inner lining separates from the outer sleeve and when that happens you pretty much lose any insulating potential and they also take on water when washing.Additionally, after the first one broke I ordered another set of two and those two were slightly different (smooth, non-ribbed texture) and seemed to be of even lesser quality. Not only were they prone to breaking after short drops, but the lids were pretty much impossible to get screwed on firmly. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the lids would just pop off even after screwing them on as far as they can go.Not recommended. Reduced my rating from 5 stars to two.**********I like these cups for things like iced coffee or tea on the go.Pros:They don't sweat, even on the hottest most humid summer days. These cups are listed as 16oz in the description as well as on the bottom of the cup itself, but are actually closer to 20oz capacity - I think it measured at 19oz. This is a big plus for me because I was actually searching for a 20-ounce cup similar to these but could only find 16 or 24 ounce versions. The 20 oz size provides enough room for ice while still giving you 16 ounces of beverage. The size of the cup is pretty standard and fits well into just about any cupholder. Not leak proof because of the straw hole, but very much "leak resistant". Even if this cup falls onto its side it's not going to leak that much if you upright it in a few seconds. The straws have little donuts on them that prevent the straw from coming free from the lid.Lids seal tightly.Keeps things cold.Cons:Not going to keep beverages as cold for as long as something like a Thermos, but what do you expect?Bottom line:Recommended if you're looking to take some cold beverages with you on the go.

These cups can potentially save you TONS of money, especially in the summer
I like to grab fast food once in a while for lunch and since food is usually cheap but add-ons like sides and drinks are usually costly, I find myself spending more on drinks to go with my lunch than I should. These reusable straw cups offer a simple solution. I just fill one of these cups half with ice and half with soda and I go to the drive-thru to get my food. I usually have to eat outside anyways because of my dog or busy schedule so I have no need to eat inside the restaurant. These cups are also great for going out and running errands. They're durable, double-walled to chill drinks longer, and come with a straw that won't slip out of the cup (it has a bulbous end that prevents it from coming out of the lid's straw hole). The lid screws off the cup and there's even a rubber seal on the lid to prevent spills. This is great in the car because if it for some reason falls out of your cupholder or out of your hand, you won't spill much, if any at all. There are countless uses for these cups, all of which will probably save you money compared to buying cold drinks at convenience stores or gas stations. The 16oz size is perfect for ice and contents of a 12oz alumnium can of soda. This size limits the amount of sugar intake, which I'm careful about. These are also BPA free so you don't feel guilty about putting nasty chemicals in your body. The bottom of the cups, however, have annoying adhesive UPC stickers. The stickers come off but it leaves a sticky residue that you have to scrub off. Other than that, these are great cups that reduce paper/plastic waste and increase your savings.
