No blue drive status lights, drives won't mount.
This unit worked great for awhile, but the TB3 connections were unstable. Now, no matter what I do the drive status lights won't turn blue and the external drives don't mount on my desktop. No technical support from Netstor. Big waste of money!

Thunderbolt 3 bootable on the iMac and very high-performance RAID system
Jan 2022 UpdateI have four EVO 970 1 TB nVME in this now, each one APFS and no RAID.It's running like a CHAMP and I could not be happier.I have one nVME for MAC OS, one for VMs and two for misc files.Windows 10 VMs get 1.7 GB/ps reads...I am using the Samsung EVO 970 1TB NVMe m.2 disk ($186 to my door) in this Netstor enclosure.I cloned/verified from my old SSD: a Samsung EVO 860 in a RocketStor Thunderbolt 1 SATA dock.- Cloning / verifying using macOS DISK UTILITY took one hour...Then I rebooted the iMac from the Netstor...I am very pleased with the Netstor performance, as it is 3X my old SATA SSD, using only a single NVMe (no raid 0).The 2019 iMac 27 with 24 GB RAM feels ultra smooth and responsive on this OS startup disk.Programs launch instantly (when launched, Safari does not bounce in the tray, it APPEARS; same for Mail & iTunes). As the Apple 1 TB SSD is $500, it makes much more sense to get a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure and NVMes,so that opening the case of the iMac isn't ever even a thought. This Netstor Thunderbolt 3 bootable RAID 0/1 array makes it easy to buy a new iMac with the slow Fusion drive and save a load of money. To be clear, you won't need to use the fusion drive, at all. The Mac will run completely from the Netstor unit, including bootup.Mojave needs a good 45 seconds for the desktop to appear on my rig...Numerous complaints online for over a year about this...Slow Mojave boot SSD...Apple changed the macOS behavior for boot-up and it's not supported anymore in recent editions to boot/install to a RAID 0/1 array, so BE AWARE OF THAT (you can still USE a RAID array, you just can't BOOT from it...)There are some workarounds, but they employ older filesystems and special techniques to get everything loaded. If you didn't already go check out the online reviews for this Netstor unit, you should. I was impressed.I'm even more impressed with the Netstor booting my $2000 27 inch 2019 iMac.It's a beautiful, quiet unit and it fits great under the iMac.For now, I will keep my boot disk as a single m.2 module.Later when I need more storage I will RAID 0 two more m.2 NVMe inside the Netstore...This unit is capable of much higher throughput (3X) than shown in my results, when using four NVMes in two RAID 0 arrays, simultaneously (see the reviews).I would buy a Netstor again.I would recommend the Netstor to friends and family.I am very, very, very impressed with this solution.GO NETSTOR !!!! YEA !!!! GOOD JOB !!!!

EXCELLENT SSD unit! You get what you pay for.
Seeing as I'm editing 4K video at home now, I decided to get an enclosure that was small and "HQ". A bunch of research brought me to the Netstor device. Even though it was the more expensive option the cost of a failing machine would be far greater once I was at work. The NA622TB3 is a well designed product that actually didnt come with an installation manual but it's pretty easy to figure out. I bought (4) PNY 2TB CS3030's from B&H and used my mac Mini to format the SSD as a Raid-0 APFS drive. APFS is optimized for SSDs. So far the 8TB unit has been flawless. The data rate is screamingly fast. In fact the bottleneck is actually my Mac Mini. It's slower that the external data rate flow of this Nestor! On the back of the enclosure are 3 fan settings. I switched it to high as my computer sometimes runs for days at a time. It's not supremely quiet but to the touch the outside of the NA622TB3 is barely warm- just a tad above room temperature which more than likely means I could drop down to the middle fan speed but I'm too fearful of doing so at this time. Still, I'm happy I went with quality over quantity as this drive is very much part of my bread & butter for income. Do yourself a favor and get the good stuff. Future you will thank past you for doing so.

Using with my MacBook Pro and Catalina
Used this to connect 4 Samsung 2TB 970 EVO Plus's to my MacBook Pro. Speed is amazing, and heat has not been a problem. Fantastic form factor, takes a few minutes to put everything together, and it just works great.
