Doesn't work
Did not work with my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6. Would not even load into iTunes. Computer would not come On with it plugged in. Waste of time and energy trying to get it to work. It's basically a knock off that doesn't work. It may look like an Apple SuperDrive but it's not even a drive let alone a super one.

Works great for Mac mini
Bought it for a Mac mini, worked like a charm right out of the box. Ripped +50 CDs on the first day, no issue. Great value.

I am Not sure if I had a bad CD or not
this item did not work well for me. my CD of photos got stuck inside and it took about 30 minutes to get it out. I am Not sure if I had a bad CD or not.

WORST PURCHASE
Worked once and never again. Spend the extra money on the "Apple" version if you want it to work. Just wasted 30 dollars on this. Of course, it stopped working right after the 30 day return policy was up. Incredibly dissatisfied.

This worked great for my iMac.
This external hard drive I bought for my IMac computer worked great. The one inside my computer stopped working so all I had to do was plug this new one into a USB port on the back and it was instantly up and running.

Deceitful Seller
For what it cost me it's OK. I did some testing on my mac mini, reads cd ok, writes cd's ok, plays DVD moves, writes DVD's . Only time will tell how long it will last. I will probably get the apple superdrive later, more expensive, always good to have more then one drive.I just want to add this, for some reason I am unable to submit a packaging review. 3 stars for that. When I received my order it was packaged in a padded envelop, You do pack items like that in a padded envelop. Very lucky it wasn't damaged.Just wanted to add to this review. I just had a stuck CD, I've tried everything to eject it, I had to take it apart and I that the CD is not even new, can't return it, luckily I have a sony DVD writer I use, I will never purchased a unknown brand even if it gets good reviews.
