This is THE BEST cat scratching post I've bought ~ and I've bought a lot over the years!!My kitty cat loves it! Its nice and tall so she can really enjoy a good stretch whilst she scratches and sharpens her claws. Its extremely sturdy and the sisal string is great quality ~ nice and thick without shedding any rope fibres.It's really easy to put together. Excellent value for money.One happy kitty cat = one happy kitty cat mommy!

I bought this for my son and daughter in laws for their two cats Christmas present, as their old one was rather tatty. Within a fortnight the base had snapped in half. It is not sturdy enough for grown cats. The height was perfect. They are back to the rather dilapidated one as it is very sturdy and safe. Shame

It’s a good size for adult cats. Let’s see how long they take to destroy this one :)

Cat won’t use it and is continuing to rip my sofa to shreds. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him use a scratch post before so I guess the issue is more with him than with the product. Will try one of the flat scratching boards next time. On plus side, easy to assemble.

My cat is finally using this and now loves it. Very solid but have to re-tighten it every now and again but that's about the worst thing about it. Good for full size cats, (mine is 11) but kittens would probably have jumping all over it too.

This scratch post lets our cat really stretch and she has not clawed our furniture since we had it. She loves to try to catch a toy dangled around it but can also play happily by herself with it.

Really poor quality. The screws in the base fell apart and could not be put back in as the material had ripped. Expansive and total rubbish !!

Tall post, wide sturdy bottom. The rope itself seems firm. (I have made the mistake of reviewing other scratching posts too soon, and within months the rope has unravelled.)I will edit this product review on its durability, after my cat has used it a couple of months.
