The Bear's Sea Escape (Bear's Song)

We have enjoyed this entire series.

The illustrations in this book are completely wonderful - complex and busy with dozens of little characters and objects filling each page. I would have loved this book as a kid, and could see a child delightfully studying the illustrations over and over, seeing new things each time. The story is sweet, too. I love the way it is written, with alliteration and a certain pleasing musicality. It is fun to search for Little Bear and Papa Bear on each spread, as they journey through their adventures to find each other. I'm so glad I bought this book for my son - I know it become a favorite for years to come.

I will not lie, I bought this book solely based off one of the example pages shown of the inside. I was not disappointed with the actual book. It's packed full of gorgeous illustrations and loads of detail that kids love to look at. I bought this book along with "The Bears Surprise", and my nephews adored both of them. They are larger in size, so it's a little awkward for a small child to read alone, but perfect for children who love to be read to.

The Bear's Sea Escape is an absolutely delightful book! The story has papa bear and little bear need a warm quiet place to slumber in the winter but live on the roof of an opera house. This book with it's delightful art work will take your little one on a Merry trip after little bear disappears with a new friend. Papa bear searches the world over for his cub until finally he finds little bear and a warm cozy place to hibernate.Great pictures for a little one to search for the little bear.

My son LOVES finding baby bear on every page. A great story about a father bear trying to track down his adventurous baby bear. The book is very large, so it may not fit on every bookshelf, but that is one of the greatest things about it. Each page is a double wide illustration with details and things to explore in every corner. A great, colorful, wonderfully detailed adventure for the whole family. Get this and the Bear's Song by the same author for the complete experience!

What a fun book. I love the illustrations and think I may have actually had more fun reading the book than my kids did. ;) i cant wait to read the other ones

I can’t stand how cute this book is, I have the entire collection. I bought this one as part of a Father’s Day present.

It is sometimes hard to find stories that both the kids and parents enjoy, but Benjamin Chaud's books are great for both. Clever stories, great illustrations, and the pictures are intricate enough that you can find new things on every read (I'd like to see Goodnight Moon do that). Highly, highly recommended
